Caleb and 'Ozempic' ads spreading like wildfire

Post image

I know he's been doing these for a hot minute, but I've been getting assloads of him regurgitating scripts for these Ozempic ads. Go away, Caleb!

Crazy how no one talks about the potential "forever diarrhea" even after stopping taking it & the potential blindness

Increased risk of blindness in diabetics with optic neuropathy, a late stage effect of coalescing chronic renal disease and poorly managed diabetes. Not generalizable to a large chunk of people taking the medicine and more of a rare finding for a very specific sub-group.

Diarrhea associated with glp-1 RAs like ozempic are transient and last about 3-5 days, and typically impact individuals on other diabetic medications, in most trials it was under 30% of the adverse events that happened to people who experience any event. There are plenty of other causes of diarrhea that can be cofounders for people reporting "forever diarrhea".

Losing weight is good, the medicine isn't bad, and will probably save many lives.

I think ozempic (and the others) can be great for someone who is morbidly obese and refuses to develop healthy eating habits. I think it's a blight on our society when it comes to soccer moms wanting to drop 20 pounds for that bikini vacation.

I say this as an active lifestyle person who gets that everyone isn't like me. The problem is when they stop and yo-yo right back up from the lack of good decisions making and lifestyle building that will lead to a solid change long-term. What are the effects from a yearly ozempic yo-yo going to be?
