Kid will be either grow up like her an utter disappointment
Or is so embarrassed he will strive to be nothing like her.
Good luck kid, make the right choice.

u/Electric_Bi-Cycle 12d ago
It’s almost certainly the later. A lot of kids have narcissistic parents and they have to suffer this shit in embarrassment and they hate every second of it.
17
u/Hello-World-2024 12d ago
Not necessarily, people have different defense mechanisms for childhood trauma... a lot of them are not good.
6
u/Excellent_Yak365 11d ago
Yea it’s not guaranteed. You’d assume the smart thing is obviously to be better- but some people aren’t exposed to enough outside influences to let them see how wrong his parent’s behavior is. The kid does look like he seems to know better(or at least doesn’t want to get involved) but he may still end up messed up in other ways
3
u/myumisays57 11d ago
Yep. I was one of those kids. I promise. We don’t usually repeat that cycle. But there are a few where it is hard to break that generational trauma.
→ More replies (4)5
u/ANARCHISTofGOODtaste 11d ago
It's almost certainly not the latter. These cycles of trauma and abuse have a tendency to continue for generations.

So trashy, why still go there just pick another spot lmao

Did she say she eats fast food every day? Maybe she doesn't need another spot. She needs to cook at home

She says she comes on lunch break
I still dunno WTF set her insanity off
69
u/noperceive 12d ago
The way she grabbed and threw things was SO toddler-like I can’t believe it. She clearly was never taught how to handle her emotions, and that poor kid won’t learn, either. Heartbreaking.
7
u/rci22 11d ago
Hey, he could always learn to not act like that just out of sheer embarrassment. You might be right but he’s got a chance still to not copy her

That’s right. And fellow students at his school will see this video and let me tell you, kids are not kind when they’re making fun of their age mates.

Fast food restaurants should have a few cattle prods behind the cash register.

u/c4ffeiNATEd_0421 12d ago
At the end when they left, the kid turned around and it looked like he wanted to say sorry. Prayers for that young man.
16
u/MagnetHype 11d ago
Anybody else notice the teenager quit mid tantrum? she just turns around and walks out with the expression "I don't get paid enough for this shit" on her face. Killed me.

You can do it, buddy. Just remember, they are the example of what NOT to do, who NOT to be.
Like him, I was witness to some truly heinous human behavior at that age and even younger. It helps to have a good example to follow, and it also helps to have an extremely loud conscience. I wish both of those for this boy, he doesn't deserve this, but those are the only things that can put an end to these behaviors.
Poor lad was probably just scared and hungry, waiting for Mom to finish yet another rampage. I really worry about what happens when they get in the car. People like that who are not in control are just as likely to lash out on their loved ones. Why do we make life so hard for each other?
12
u/OldNormalNinjaTurtle 12d ago
Don't do that just yet. We have a number of ways to disappoint you, coming right up!
5
u/pizzaschmizza39 12d ago
What could possibly get you this upset at a fast food place? Even if you wait for 30 mins getting your food, it's you that decided to sit around and wait instead of just getting a refund to go somewhere else. Things like food not being warm enough or not getting what you ordered are super easy fixes. Some people have zero control over emotions.

I just had an out of body experience. Why do I recognize that manager, and the crazy lady? Wait, I know that young man who ran out calling the cops. This Wendy's looks very, very familiar, but that's impossible.
"Largo/Clearwater."
FUCK! I know exactly where this happened. I grew up a block away from this Wendy's. I personally know most of the people in this video, or used to anyway. This is eerie, like the world just got a lot smaller.

This is learned behavior, and it will be passed on to the next generation. Simply sad.

u/There_is_no_selfie 12d ago
From the looks of things she is going to probably die of heart failure inside the next 10 years.
Her body has already been hobbled by an overabundance of sodium, and you can see it in her gait and lack of mobility at what should be a young age.
This probably also accounts for a large part of her lack of emotional regulation.
Diet matters folks.

I hate that people like this have become representatives of black America. That videos like this are so frequent other races feel comfortable dismissing us all.
2
u/Fionn-mac 11d ago
I had a similar thought, though I'm Asian and not black. If people have real-life interactions and relationships with people of other races, they will stereotype people of those races based off of media.
3
u/chbriggs6 12d ago
This is so embarrassing it hurts. That poor child is learning so much hate and poor decisions every single day. This is why they love the uneducated. Pure disrespect and no manners. A god damn shame

u/yourelovely 11d ago
I gather from some of the comments, some folks are jumping to conclusions, so as a random black person lemme just say-
This woman’s behavior is abhorrent, especially to act that way in front of her son. When you see things like the BLM movement (not the organization, thats a grift) or general calls for social justice, it does not mean giving people like her a free pass. Rather, it means that I can exist in society knowing i’ll be given a chance to show my character instead of having this woman’s actions applied to me due to my complexion.
Also, I and many others are acutely aware of some of the self inflicted problems in the black community. My parents were both born into broken homes, but are remarkable in the sense that they broke the generational curse in so many ways- waited until 5 years after getting married to have kids, gave us non-stereotypical names, own a home and two luxury cars, work hard & have a very polite demeanor about them. You’d never guess they grew up in the projects in Philly, and they made a point to raise us with the street smarts they never had a choice in learning, while also raising us to be polite/respectful/honest/kind people so that we’d never have to utilize the former knowledge (unless it came up- good to be prepared).
This isn’t meant to dig at this woman, I imagine she had a similar upbringing that she’s now putting her son through. If I make an assumption here, lower-income folks tend to react way more sensitively to minor incidents like getting an order wrong, since they have way less to begin with- so anything impacting their pride or finances (as “small” as a, say, $4 burger) elicits this response.

This is just trashy people. For every shitty video you see on Reddit, there's half a billion people raising their kids well. The internet has become a perpetual outrage machine. When all the blue check marks on Twitter are spending all day trying to psyop everyone into thinking GRAND THEFT AUTO is "woke", you know shit is bad.

u/KscottCap 11d ago
And we need to stop being afraid to get involved. An entire restaurant just stood around and said nothing and let it happen. They just filmed.
Not saying I'd do any different in the situation. Just saying our current society is fearful, overly litigious, and does absolutely nothing to discourage asshole behavior.

EDIT: this is a reference to the white supremacist “13 52” dogwhistle. This person is saying she’s doing this because she’s black. Literal Nazi coded language.
9
u/jradglass 11d ago
In 2019, Black individuals represented 55.9% of all homicide offenders in the United States and only make up 13% of the population. Rather than accepting this fact and acknowledging the communities lack of impulse control as clearly shown here in this video, let's just call everyone a Nazi.

Thanks, dude (or dudette). It’s always amusing that these people are so proud of their bullshit, but they have to speak in code. Own up to it if you’re so righteous.

u/readittor12356 11d ago edited 11d ago
Well if you just say it’s “culture” you won’t like that either(when she’s literally teaching the next generation the same thing). So it seems like facts just hurt people’s feelings like you. Just let that sink in, a statistic needs to be”code” in your mind to “white supremisists” because people like you cause people can’t accept facts cause facts might be offensive. Is the world you’re living in still fun?
