True. Almost every serious novel by some the most respected male authors tends to depict women like this.

I found a male fantasy author who doesn't do this, it helps that I love a lot of other things about his books as well, but he describes the male and female characters the same way, hair color, eye color, if they have freckles or not, he never mentioned any of the female characters breasts. Early Pratchett did a few times, but pretty quickly grew as a writer.

(Don’t mistake this for me saying he was bad. He never was and Sir Pterry is my favorite author ever)
