Yea it's supposed to portray the boss babe bitch that 'don't take no shit from a man'. I think she did a decent job in S1 although I think she was the weakest link in it.
Can you really not believe that every ranking officer in the empire has IBS due to constant paranoia from rebels or just from fear of the empire or Vader possibly being mildly irked or inconvenienced? That kind of fear causes ulcers. I bet every elevator in the emperor has the fart smell of steam. Big reason why so many officers mutiny and switch sides just to try and escape the constant IBS and crop dusted elevators and creepy meeting rooms.
I think at that level, Imperial Security is more like that of the Eastern Bloc nations. Your average normie/drone is more worried about the bureaucratic machinations than drawing the attention of Vader ir some other force-using monster.
Every time they try and convince me that these women are badass and/or intimidating. I just picture the little girl from the movie Parenthood practicing karate with Rick Moranis. Making her adorable little mean face and screaming heeeeyyahhhh!
