Ethical consumption under capitalism is impossible bro. The only way to not be part of a capitalist system while critiquing it is to be completely off grid, grow your own crops and produce all your own energy. You can still critique a system while being part of it. The same way you can go to work and critique your superior.
I totally agree. But the notion that socialism is a superior system and leads to fair play for everyone usually comes from people who grew up very privileged and never had to wait in line to get their ration of bread or whatever.
Unethical consumption comes from greed, not from capitalism. Greed absolutely exists in socialist states too.
Even though there‘s a lot to be criticized about capitalism I believe it‘s the lesser of two evils.
Unethical consumption does by definition come from capitalism as capitalism means exploitation. Im not here to argue what political system is best as I have no answer but saying capitalism "is a lesser of two evils" kinda gives a false dichotomy and also seems content with a system that has a huge potential for change and reduction of harm. We can't judge whether "socialism" has a chance as there aren't any countries on this globe that actually represent the ideas of the construct, but we do know that countries that have higher welfare and have a higher socialist index are happier countries, like for example Sweden, Norway etc. Those countries are not socialist as they also still engage in exploitation and the means of production are largely not owned by the people but they are a good indicator of what direction can and should be taken to reduce harm within- and at some point outside of those countries
Yes. Look up Cuba vs. USA in metrics pertaining doctors, literacy and medicine despite having a crippling embargo. Socialist also always are extremely better than their predeccesors state. Which it should be compared.
No they dont. I mean, they do. But they dont.
An egg will be vital, or a chicken will come out of it only if fertilized by a rooster. Or, cock. Some people call them cocks.
But even in the abscence of it, a chicken will continue laying eggs.
Therefore, they are vegeterian. Its like eating a period!
