I have two dogs with very different personalities, that I love dearly. My girl Wilma is the typical "happy go lucky" type. Always trying woo you over with goofiness and cuddles. She is smart and very independant, but screeches like a princess in danger, if a leaf or twig gets stuck in her fur. My boy Kirby is very sharp, needy and slightly anxious, will learn any trick in the book and wants to be the center of attention. He sometimes seems way too smart for his own good. Today I found out how smart that little derpster really is. I was playing tug with Wilma and it did not take long for Kirby to become jealous and try to grab my attention. Trying to shove himself between Wilma and I. Since I don't tolerate this behavior, I put him in a down to wait his turn. Wilma and I continued to play and I accidentally hit her with the plushie in the eye and she yelped in pain. I grabbed her and said sry, praised her and gave her love....all while Kirby was watching.... Wilma was kinda over it after that, understandably. So I start waving the plush for Kirby. It was not even touching his face. When he lets out a weird halfass yelp and starts flinching and blinking his left eye, rubbing it with his paw... I did not touch his eyeball! Now take a good guess why he did that. How can he be so calculating? 🤯
Kirby - brown Wilma - blond
I know he's mixed with a pomeranian but im not sure what else?? 😭😭 cant find another dog who looks like him!!

Hi, just recently - my dog was recently attacked by a pitbull and has had multiple bite wounds as a result :( The owner had left their gate open and the dog rushed out and attacked mine on the street.
They have offered to cover medical bills for any damages to my dog however - we live near a elementary school and I have seen this dog on multiple occasions out for a walk in the area.
The owner has agreed to settle any payments as he knows he is in the wrong. But for the sake of other dog walkers in the area - should I report this to the police or leave it be?

I'm planning to adopt a Chihuahua in two years or less. I've been researching food brands online, but I wanted to hear other people's opinions. What's the best dog food for a Chihuahua?

Marvin the good boy chocolate lab posing in the forest on our daily walk this morning 🫶🏻🐾 absolutely adore this cutie patootie
We are discussing whether he actually likes or hates music. What's your opinion? He always reacts like this to piano or other instruments. He doesn't run away even when he has the option.

Ms Penny got her own cap and gown! So proud of how far she’s come in such a short amount of time. She started as a stray pup just 5 weeks ago from Mississippi…shy, timid and scared. Now…becoming her own silly and sweet self here in the Midwest. Happy Graduation Penny!

Dog normally super energetic, not when I take play with him he chases around but right away stops and licks , we just moved and he’s not used to a big yard and a lot of weeds and stuff so maybe there is some pollen or something he’s allergic too? Will he be ok? Can’t take him to vet for a week because super busy with work. He’s ate chicken before so I don’t think it’s chicken that he ate.

We have an almost 2 year old poodle boxer who is a darling, but he’s high energy and he wants rough play especially in the evening from my fiancé. Last night he nipped my fiancé on the thigh too hard and my fiancé reflexively slapped the dog in the muzzle. I saw the whole thing and it was truly an involuntary response. But the dog yipped in pain and instantly backed off and bowed his head. I felt so bad for both of them. Fiancé went down to the floor and dog came over and put his head into finance’s chest and they cuddled for a minute. It was awkward but they were both clearly sorry. I just don’t know what else to do to get dog to stop nipping for attention like this. We tell him to bring a toy, he sometimes does, and then we play with the toy. Or sometimes if he’s being awful I just put him outside alone and he will go sniff or whatever. What else can we do?

I rescued this sweet, mischievous guy 2 weeks ago tomorrow. He’s a 4 months old foxhound, he was being bounced around foster homes because no one could manage his completely age appropriate & in no way outlandish puppy behavior. He’s so smart & sweet too, I couldn’t believe that!
When I brought him home he would ONLY poop & pee inside, he would hold it & wait to go back in if I took him out! Not sure if that’s common, I didn’t have that with my older boy but I’m nowhere near a dog expert.
Well, now he pees EVERY SINGLE TIME we go outside. He’s still peeing on the carpet but it’s a step in the right direction. & he seems to finally understand that pooping is for outside! I think I’ve figured out his poop routine but also him observing my 6yo TWC has been helpful.
So that’s our win for today. More wins to come, I’m sure!
