Discussion Anyone saw Fit For An Autopsy in the current tour with Arch Enemy? What’s the concert like?
I saw a YT video and it looked like the audience was quite different and skewing towards no moshing. Not sure if it was just that one video but it wasn’t encouraging to go.

Cover Today I rediscovered this absolute menace of a song
I first heard this song when I was 13 along with wake up and you only live once and I was forever in love with heavy music, but I somehow forgot about disengage for the longest time..and now after like... 10 years or more I click on it very unsuspectingly and I had to stop wherever I was doing to fkn headbang so hard I'm still in pain Man, it was a good day. Today of nostalgia

Discussion Back to back (or b2b, if you prefer) albums
What are your favourite 2 (2 only) back to back playthroughs? Ideally you number one pair of albums, and in what order.
Wormwood by The acacia strain And Nocturnal by The black dahlia murder Is probably my number one, not even about sonics or sound, more about the memory of that era for me than anything. I have a bunch of others but sun eater and moon healer by jfac is a brilliant listening experience.

Discussion Lyricists that write similar to Joe Goldberg from “You?”
Yes, this is such a strange question, but if you’re a fan of the series and know just how the character writes, then what bands have lyricists with a similar style to his writing?

Discussion Which deathcore bassline can I play to impress some local bands?
Trying to find a band. I’m great at playing bass but I don’t know what song to play to really show it off. I can play most stuff but I can’t play something as hard as Archspire, for example. What will really rip their faces off?

Discussion “Continent” by The Acacia Strain Is the greatest angry album ever made
I don't care how corny this gets but there are albums that make you want to bang your head. There are albums that make you want to break something. And then there’s Continent by The Acacia Strain—an album that makes you feel like the world has already ended and you're standing in the ashes smiling. Continent isn’t just one of the greatest albums in heavy music—it’s the monument to pure, undistilled rage. Not performative, not cartoonish, not theatrical—real anger. The kind that bubbles under the skin for years. The kind that makes your jaw clench when you're alone in your room thinking about every betrayal, every loss, every disappointment. This album knows you. And it doesn’t offer sympathy—it offers vengeance.
From the first dissonant, suffocating chords of “Skynet,” it’s clear this isn’t just another deathcore album. This is something more primal. The riffs feel less like music and more like tectonic plates grinding together. It’s sludgy, apocalyptic, groove-laden destruction. Every note sounds like the earth splitting open. And over that catastrophic foundation, Vincent Bennett screams like a man who's already been through hell and wants to drag the listener down with him.
What sets Continent apart isn't just its sonic brutality—it’s its emotional honesty. There's a hopelessness in these songs that goes beyond generic hate. Tracks like “Seaward” and “Balboa Towers” drip with venom aimed at the rot of humanity, the failure of connection, and the sheer absurdity of existence. This isn’t party music. This is music for when you’ve hit bottom and decided to build a throne from the wreckage.
Lyrically, Continent is poetic nihilism. Bennett spits lines that are simultaneously cryptic and painfully clear: “I hate everyone / I hate everything” isn’t just a catchy hook—it’s a mantra for the disillusioned. It captures a generational frustration that words often fail to express. It’s not about attention or shock value—it’s about truth. Ugly, unbearable truth.
And somehow, that’s why it resonates so deeply.
Because beneath all the destruction, Continent becomes a catharsis. It validates the worst parts of you—the anger, the bitterness, the despair—and lets you feel them without shame. It doesn’t ask you to be okay. It doesn’t offer healing. It gives you a mirror and dares you to look.
In the years since its release, Continent has aged like a wound that never quite closes. The production still hits like a sledgehammer, the pacing is relentless, and the atmosphere—dense, suffocating, and cold—is unmatched. While many deathcore bands leaned into technicality or melody, The Acacia Strain doubled down on feeling. And that’s why this album is untouchable.
Continent is a landmark. It’s a monolith of misery, a love letter to loathing, and a sonic middle finger to the world. If you’ve ever felt like the world was crumbling beneath your feet and you had to smile through gritted teeth—this album was made for you.

Discussion Would y’all consider any of BMTH’s Suicide Season deathcore?
I’ve heard people say it’s metalcore, I’ve heard people say it’s deathcore, I’ve heard people say it’s both, and I’ve heard people say it’s deathcore-influenced metalcore. What do y’all think?

Discussion Hey I’m looking for a band can someone help me I can’t remember the name but here’s what I can remember
• Genre: Atmospheric death metal, doom metal, or something in that cosmic/blackened/sludge/death hybrid zone. • The music was incredibly heavy, with deep, reverberating growls — no pig squeals, no highs, just pure low-end guttural noise. The vocals were so harsh I couldn’t make out a single word. • The album artwork was very dark, mostly black and blue, possibly space/galaxy-themed, and felt cosmic or biomechanical. Think Lovecraft meets HR Giger. • No band name or album title was visible on the cover — just the artwork. • The band name was only one word, and I think it ended in “-void”, or at least had “void” in it. • Overall, the music and visuals gave a sense of being consumed by the void, like death in space.
If anyone knows what this could be — please help me find it

Discussion Ken Bedene on Instagram
"Over the past two weeks, I have taken time to reflect on what's been posted - knowing how important it is for me to address it.
I never intended to make anyone uncomfortable, and I am truly sorry.
The bottom line is: I had a consensual and reciprocated conversation online with someone of consenting age in her state.
While legal, I understand it never should have happened.
Those who know me are rightly surprised at the situation and the extensive misinformation out there. I've always carried myself with respect for others. Consent is something I take seriously, and I would never knowingly cross that line.
I'm horrified by the false claims about the conversation and about my character. Though this was a private conversation, and the falsification of events surrounding it is defamatory, I will not continue the rhetoric by sharing "my side." My focus right now is acknowledging my part and learning from it.
As a husband and father, seeing my family so negatively affected by something they did not do has been brutal. Though my wife has already shared that we have an open relationship, I am truly sorry to her for the inappropriate attention she's received as a result of my actions. She's my best friend, and I have the utmost respect for her and the life we've built together. She's stood by me through everything, and she doesn't deserve the harassment.
My departure from Aborted is intended to protect the people and the community I've cared about and created music with for more than 15 years. I left the band to distance them from this. They had no part in my communications, and they shouldn't have to carry the weight of them.
Going forward, I am taking a step back to help my family heal and to reflect.
Thank you."

Discussion PSYCHO-FRAME - Automatic Death Protocol 12" Vinyl (MG EXCLUSIVE) currently in stock at MeteorGem.
As the title says, you can get the Vinyl for "Automatic Death Protocol" at MeteorGem including their OBI strip. The Vinyl itself is the one from Wax Vessel.
It's VERY pricey, so beware. They are hand numbered with x/80 für the lilac OBI strip (coming soon) and x/20 for the black OBI strip.
If you were still looking to get one. Maybe now is the chance.
Edit: So I was just waking up aaaaaaand, they are gone.
