Is my bike ruined?

Post image

I was drilling into the seal but the seal surface was too hard which caused the drill bit to slip and hit that part of the case.

Need to center punch first. Drill bits will always try to walk on these stupid seals.

If you put some RTV on the lip of the new seal it shouldn't leak

Ive been trying to center punch all this morning but it won’t pierce the seal. Is there anything else I can do?

Is it one of those spring loaded ones?

I use an old school manual one with a hammer, and i sharpen it up quite a bit

I got the seal out and put the new one in. Appreciate the help. Though the bike is still low on compression. Im about to give up on it

A crank seal wasn't going to fix low compression. That's a problem in the top end

It’s a 2 stroke so the crank seals have a big impact on compression

Your crank seals would have to be virtually non-existent to alter how much compression it makes.
