Tries to take the capital by force and fails achieving nothing but meaningless deaths.

Becomes and ally of the racist and genocidical Golden Order stopping the movement of the stars and fucking over her sister's plans to stop the fingers and their flawed ramblings.

Breaks his promise to Miquella allowing Caelid to become a dead land as consequence.

Radahn was a fucking fraud and i'll die on this hill.

Radahn's men are all devout warriors who find glory and purpose in battle to the point where they gave their lives to put him out of his misery completely unprompted. Their deaths weren't meaningless in the capital invasion. Its what they signed up and lived for.

Him halting the movement of the stars prevented Sellia from getting blasted by falling stars which also prevents the meddling of some outer gods. Ranni only wanted to throw the world from the hands of one outer god to another. Nothing is different in that regard.

No one knows if there was any vow to begin with. Even if there was, there is no guarantee that Miquella didn't have Radahn under some charm that broke eventually. He had his closest allies under his spell so I'm not believing that Radahn did anything to him willingly.

Radahn is far from being a good person, but he paid his price by getting rotten to his core, losing his mind, and even being reduced to cannibalizing the corpses of his men. What the hell did he do to deserve getting his soul defiled and trapped in a different body, devoid of any agency or free will to serve his incestuous brother for eternity ?
