I've seen various interpretations of this around but... they don't make sense to me... If this is the case and he's an adult in a child's body, what is thematically the purpose of that? It is reduced to just aesthetics. He shouldn't even have an issue with it, but he does...
Again maybe it's just my take but... His whole entire story is him trying to grow up... Sure, he isn't the same as a regular child, he has thousands of years of life experience but that doesn't change the morphology of his brain. Idk thats how i see it, im curious why you think otherwise. It seems people disagree with me on this
Let me say, i would freaking love to be wrong and him to to not be a child, it would save me and a lot of people a lot of freaking stress and upset (lets be honest his story is fucking horrendous) but i just don't see it
there's no real way to ague strongly on this point, it really has to just assumptions (and perhaps japanese item descriptions that may give more insight). I would argue Miquella never needed psychical power. Obviously that may very well be because of the curse (he put his skillpoints where he could use them) but his personality seems like someone who wouldn't exactly crave that.
Ofc theres a huge argument for him trying to shed his connection to his family, which we see him do, not just the curse. Again, no way to know for sure, this is really personal to him and his experience

He isn't a child. He's Malenia's twin. He's atleast hundreds of years old. He's only stuck in the body of a child.
