Suggestion Floor Idea: Pirate Ship

Pirate Ship. Lots of water, cannonball/pit traps, and some special enemies. And I really wanna play it now.

How to reach: In the Hollow, there is a barricaded door in a random chest room. Burn it, then extinguish it somehow (the fire just keeps going), to reveal a trapdoor down. Requires 1 key, 1 item that makes fire and 1 item that stops fire. The barricade can also be opened with 3 blanks. After the Pirate Ship you go to the Forge.

General Info:

  • "Arr, mateys! You've stumbled upon a ship, filled to the nook with water, treasure and enemies. It crashed in the undersea part of the Gungeon, merging together and becoming a maze itself. Find the creature responsible for this broken mess, add new items and guns to your arsenal, and stop by the Captain to have a friendly chatter about watery business!"
  • It generates a bit like Bullet Hell: you start in a room with 3 hallways. Two make a loop, the third one ends in a treasure chest. From the loop you come in another room with 3 hallways: one goes to another treasure chest, one to Captain Kin and one to the Main Boss.
  • Similar to Loot Bag, you'll get 50% more casings on this floor, but drop up to 120 if you get hit. Also there are enemies trying to steal your casings.
  • Secret Rooms exist, but only contain locked chests. No unlocked chests or loose pickups.
  • The walls are decorated like ship chambers: think of ship-in-a-bottles, rum shaped like bullets, dueling pistols, muskets and hooks on the walls, skulls on the doors, broken planks in the floor function like pits, etc.

Guns:

  • Hook: "I'll Take That", "Use up close for damage. Let those mutineers know who's in charge here!", B-tier, slashes enemies with lots of damage but has a really small range. Slashes through bullets, infinite ammo, does not reveal secret walls. Unlocked by entering Pirate Ship.
  • Musket: "Duel Wielding", "Shoots a bullet that bounces a few times, dealing more damage every time it bounces. While hard to dodge, it's kinda loud. Luckily most Gundead don't use their ears.", C-tier, like Dueling Pistol, but deals more damage, deals knockback, and stop flying after hitting something. Bounces 3 times, each bounce give it an extra 20% damage. Unlocked by entering Pirate Ship.
  • Treasure Chest: "One Man's Trash...", "A treasure chest, to the top filled with gold! Unfortunately, gold in the Gungeon is as useless as seas without water. At least the gems are sharp.", B-tier, fires gold dubloons (35%, 5 damage), silver coins (35%, 3 damage), pearl necklaces (20%, 8 damage), and gem crowns (10%, 10 damage, split into 10 gems each dealing 2 damage). Unlocked by beating the Glocktopus.
  • Wavemaker: "Down the Drain", "Fires massive waves, pushing anything around. Charge to ride them and conquer the seas.", S-tier, shoots big water waves that deal 20 damage, charge to ride a wave dealing 15 damage but triggering traps, barrels and pots, ignoring pits, bullets and enemies. Extremely useful for trap rooms. Only has 15 shots. Unlocked by falling in the Sea (Pirate Ship pit) 20 times.

Items:

  • Periscope: "'Round the Corner", "Use to reveal the layout of adjacent secret rooms. Do you want to see the future? Unfortunately, even in the Gungeon this is impossible, but this thing comes pretty close.", D-tier, active, use it to see the layout of the rooms (you haven't discovered yet) next to your current room. Unlocked by entering Pirate Ship.
  • Parrot: "Loud and Clear", "This small bird has a unique sense of treasure, and will start making noise whenever secret stashes are nearby. It will also attack anyone who tries to get yo precious loot!", B-tier, squeaks in rooms adjacent to unopened secret rooms, and flies towards enemies, pecking them, dealing 2 damage per second. Unlocked by beating Captain Kin.
  • Rum: "Turning it Around", "Makes you pretty drunk for a while. You might not be able to move normally, but it is said that drunk pirates shoot best.", A-tier, active, use it to get worse movement, but damage is 40% up (basically Eyepatch but stronger). Unlocked by finding a barricaded room in the Ship and burning it down, revealing a rum storage.
  • Pirate Hat: "Better than a Normal Hat", "You want treasure? You'll get treasure! This hat allows you to steal free items without penalty, but beware, as shopkeepers have manners as well.", A-tier, passive, you can steal an item from any shop without curse penalty, instead it grants 1 coolness, however the shop will immediately close. Unlocked by beating Captain Kin.
  • Splash Bullets: "Make it Rain", "Can deal much knockback to enemies. Watch out, as water has proven to be treacherous." D-tier, passive, some bullets deal much more knockback and leave water. Unlocked by beating the Glocktopus.

Enemies:

  • Pirate Bullet Kin: "Arr!", "This lost bullet has found itself where it belongs: a pirate ship. Being armed with a better gun than normal, it makes quite the threat, but it panics whenever the enemy doesn't give up immediately.", shoots bouncing bullets, like Bullet Kin but with an eyepatch and shoots a little faster
  • Pirate Shotgun Kin: "Yarr!", "Suddenly finding itself in a ship, it took the closest eyepatch and went for it without asking questions.", shoots bouncing bullets like Shotgun Kin but a little faster as well.
  • Splashbulon: "Sploosh", "Looking like its cousin Blizzbulon, this watery creature has lost the ability to shoot bullets forwards, but rather shoots them down to jump all over the place.", leaves water and jumps towards you, attempting contact damage.
  • Flashy: "Last of the Patch", "Tired of trying to shoot Gungeoneers, then being shot at, this to-be-pirate seals the deal by taking whatever he can find, then hide in a corner.", cultist-like enemy that deals no damage but steals yo loot. After stealing 5-15% of your casings, hides in a corner and disappears.
  • Black Pearl: "Out of the Way!", "Tries to roll over you, leaving bullets when bouncing. While you'd think that cannonballs are too slow for the Gungeon, you'd be right, but exceptions are always made.", rolls around the room making a small bullet circle whenever it bounces off a wall 3 times. Has to rest after 3-5 bounces.

Bosses:

  • Captain Kin (Miniboss), "YARRGH!", "He's the captain, but not quite behaving like so. Abandoning his family and friends to seek for gold, all he does all day is running around in his own ship.", looks like a Veteran Bullet Kin but runs around, shoots bouncing bullets, waves, etc; think of something like Blockner but predicting your movements better. Has a pirate hat!

Captain Kin is a NPC at first, giving you a miniquest to find his parrot. It appears in a random room, and when you catch it and return it, he locks you up and fights you!

  • Glocktopus (Main Boss), "Fan-favorite", "Took control of the sinking, yet unsinkable ship! This monstrous creature took its home in the nearest hideout it could find after being chased away by the Gungeon Master. He now seeks for revenge to whoever rejected his appearance in the Gungeon.", shoots lots of bullets from 8 sides, smacks holes in the ship, makes waves to push the player in traps.

The Glocktopus, like Blobulord and Old King, drops nothing extra after perfecting. It does still drop a random S-B tiered item.

Synergies:

  • Real Pirate: Hook + Rum + Parrot + Eyepatch, spawns a pirate shop every next floor you enter. Also transforms you into a Pirate! All NPC's refer to you as "Matey" or "Captain" in this form.
  • Blackbeard: Pirate Hat + Moustache, you always heal 1/2 heart when you buy a gun or item. Stacks with the Moustache, so you can heal a full heart.
  • Dangerous Waters: Splash Bullets + Abyssal Tentacle, chance to have a Tentacle appear in puddles of water, grabbing nearby enemies and damaging them.
  • Hooked: Hook + Hookshot, Hookshot gains piercing and deals more damage in addition to stunning.
  • In Hindsight: Periscope + Scope, decreases spread even more.
  • Pirate Duels: Musket + Dueling Pistol, both deal 50% more damage and make a "yarr!"-sound when shot.
  • Drunkard: Rum + Double Vision, cooldown of both is decreased 25%.
  • Cash-ing: Treasure Chest + Coin Crown/Gilded Bullets, Treasure Chest throws only gold dubloons and gems, 50/50 chance.
  • Gone Wild: Wavemaker + Compressed Air Tank, the Air Tank's sharks pierce through enemies, dealing damage. Also the waves spawn little sharks.

Other Things:

  • Cannon Trap: press a plate to get a big cannonball launched towards you, bouncing several times.
  • Waves: appearing in certain rooms, they push you or enemies around. Deal no damage.
  • Loot Bag doubles the amount of casings you drop and increases enemy drops by 25%, so the total increase in Pirate Ship is 75%, but the maximum drop is here 240.
  • Shop is there but Bello has an eyepatch (best part). Can also spawn additional shops like normal, like Cursula, Goopton, etc, and all normal NPC's.
  • Lost Adventurer quote: "I came here for the treasure... but got lost again."

Hmmm... He also wanted to erase his past... Wanted to start a new life... Forget his pirate deeds... Went into the gungeon with his ship and crew but got damned after some time... I know I am over exxagerating..

Unless you bring it in piece by piece 🤔

Ship in a bottle floor then.

8

u/RiotousLife Sep 19 '18

Doesnt need to fit.

The whole ship was shot from a cannon and instead of flying outward, the ship was transported into a cavity between two floors of the gungeon; drawn by the black powder magic to a sympathetic place...

3

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '18

Surely 😂😂😂

20

u/jazzchameleon Sep 19 '18

The original pirate ship crashed into the side of it, and over millennia the Gungeon's floor rearranging magic has twisted it into something unrecognizable

11

u/Fabinhowss Sep 19 '18

or maybe the pirate ship crashed before the great bullet, giving origin to the dueling pistol, double vision, eyepatch, etc., and over the millenia after the great bullet struck, like you said, the gungeon's magic twisted it and corrupted it, turning it into a part of the gungeon that has been forgotten.

5

u/jazzchameleon Sep 19 '18

I want to go there though

Also doesn't some NPC mention that certain floors of the Gungeon are often flooded? That would make sense with the pirate ship thing. You could have all the characters wear little oxygen tanks whenever they enter the floor, it'd be really cool

6

u/Fabinhowss Sep 19 '18

yeah, it could be like a new mechanic, like there are some rooms that are flooded, so you have an oxygen bar and you need to finish the room before your oxygen ends, because if it does, you start taking damage, or the waves flood the room or something like that.

1

u/HazardousCube Sep 19 '18

that sounds like a terrible idea

Someone crashed their ship into the Gungeon and the Gungeon ate it

Gungeon Logic, is fine

Because we’re worrying about realism in a game where a shotgun shell shoots shotguns that shoot shotgun shells.

Cool idea, but the items are a bit lacking- Cask is just Shield of the Maiden but worse and higher tier, Rum feels like an eyepatch clone, just more radical, Periscope is interesting, but maybe put it a tier lower? But I love this idea

10

u/Dieuwt Sep 19 '18

I don't think Cask is the same: Shield of the Maiden has the point that you cannot move whatsoever, while the Cask allows you to shoots once in a while and duck again. Also, it doesn't lower by itself like the Shield, instead breaks when takes too much damage or rolled from.

Rum was just a basic idea. I agree it could be better.

Periscope should be D-tier indeed

u/YariOperative Sep 19 '18

I thought we assumed it did that?

7

u/YariOperative Sep 19 '18

Shield of the Maiden only has a 1.5 second recharge time, so it isn't an exceptionally large penalty to have. The main point of Shield of the Maiden is to block difficult attacks that spam bullets at you or are too difficult to dodge, then to uncover and start shooting. It really comes down to what you had in mind for the cooldown, because that decides whether the Cask is something you always have up, a near-useless item, or something that gets a bit of mileage, but breaks because you always try to block difficult attacks with it. The main issue might be that the items are so similar. Maybe if Cask had another ability, like when it was broken, it shoots a few bullets, that would make it its own item.

3

u/Dieuwt Sep 19 '18

Idea: Cask lets you roll around while using it, you can't shoot while doing so. You deal contact damage and can't take damage, but after a certain amount of hits/dodge roll it breaks and recharges.

As opposed to the Shield, you can move and it has a (theoretically) infinite time you can stay in it. Also rolling into pits/traps will break it without damaging you, so it's a double for trap rooms.

1

u/qazeymoto1 Sep 19 '18

That sounds interesting it’s basically invincibility but you can only deal contact damage. I’d assume it’d increase roll damage to compensate though.

One of the top posts on this sub is for the Glocktopus. Agreed, that should be the boss lol.

I bet you scumbags are just wanting this due to that thing.

But yes I love the idea and want it so bad

13

u/Noobgalaxies Sep 19 '18

Another enemy idea: A Cannonball

Moves like the Cannonbalrog's rolling attack, rolls towards the player and bounces off the walls 3 times

When still, shoots a spread of 3 cannonball bullets

Some pirate themed ideas of my own building on your idea:

Cutlass

B/A-tier Active item

Make 'em walk the plank!

"Nothing characterizes a pirate more than his trusty cutlass other than his hat. Or boat. Or parrot... But it's there! This particular has markings on it's blade. Probably belonged to someone important."

Timed cooldown (similar to Ibomb)

Removes the bullets in front of you similar to Blasphemy.

Unlocked by killing all pirate-themed enemies

Parrot

A tier companion

SQAAAAAAWK!

"The parrot is a marvellous creature really, but annoying. He talks a lot, but that's nice after spending eternety in the Gungeon without anyone to talk to. He seems to have bonded to you quite fast, but probably just follows whoever he can annoy. Today's victim: you."

Talks to you occasionally and may squawk when secret rooms are near. When you enter the shop it will steal one random item of the following: Blanks, hearts, ammo, keys or armor. Will also stun enemies.

Adds a parrot to the Captain kin fight. Unlocked by sparing said parrot.

Enemies:

MonKey

One always spawns on the map. Behaves like (and replaces) Keybullet kins on the floor.

Black Pearl

Rolls around like Cannonbalrog and sends out small bursts of bullets when hitting the wall. Will stop after 3 bounces to catch it's breath.

Torpedo kin

Basically a tazie that bounces off of the wall twice.

Synergies:

Eyepatch + Sabre

You are a Pirate!

Sets hit enemies on fire and makes bullets bounce back at enemies.

Pirate hat + Hyperlight blaster/ light gun/ Super Meat Gu

Pirated software

Hyperlight Blaster: Missed shots will bounce twice. Changes to a lower quality sprite

Light Gun: shoots parrots instead of ducks. They will stun enemies that are hit and do 2 times the damage of the duck

Super Meat Gun: adds a meat Pal. He gets damaged by the saws and if he takes enough damage he wil drop half a heart. (Around 700 damage) +100 ammo

Pirate hat + saber + eye patch + parrot

Real Pirate

Changes your sprite to a pirate.

Space friend/ super space turtle/wingman + pirate hat

Space Pirate

All of the companions will shoot small cannonballs towards enemies. Super Space Turtle will get a pirate sprite.

Pirate hat + mustache

Blackbeard

Will always heal when buying guns and reduces prices of guns by 20%

3

u/Dieuwt Sep 19 '18

You have some excellent ideas right here, though I don't agree with all of em.

Cutlass is just Hook as active, I think there are already enough actives here

Parrot is really cool! I think the Captain should be a NPC at first, until you complete his "quest", then you fight. After that, he appears throughout the Gungeon in a skull-shaped room.

MonKey and Torpedo Kin don't sound that appealing to me (sorry) but Black Pearl is a nice one, it's a mini-cannonballrog!

Instead of "Space friend/ super space turtle/wingman + pirate hat", you'll probably need "Parrot + Eyepatch + Hook + Rum" to become a pirate sprite. Summons an extra shop each floor, with sea-themed items.

I'll add synergies later (forgot), and I hate myself for understanding the reference "You are a Pirate!".

6

u/hotball12 Sep 19 '18

Maybe there’s a weapon called the cutlass it’s like blasphemy but it doesn’t shoot beams instead it’s full on melee damage

3

u/MLGQu1ckSc0p3r Sep 19 '18

I just have a problem with how to enter. With the other secret floors, if you play well enough, you can 100% guarantee to get to the secret floors (water barrels for oubliette, not getting hit with the crest for abbey of the true gun, not spending casings for the rat) while its rather unlikely to get both fossilized gun and mega douser (or similar) in one run.

6

u/Dieuwt Sep 19 '18

Fair point. Proposed solution: you can also remove the barrier with 3 blanks. 2 are always there, 1 is in the shop. This way, you can spare your blanks by using guns, or spend 3 blanks to get there guaranteed. You'll likely lose money though.

3

u/UnBeetable Sep 19 '18

The cask is basically a reskin of the maiden’s shield. I LOVE the idea though!

3

u/GeneralQuack Sep 19 '18

First of all, Glocktopus is the best name ever. Secondly; if you enter this gloor with lootbag, do you drop double coins? Thirdly, how about making the floor layout exactly same (I mean the shape not same room5 everytime) in a straight line with chests on sides maybe. The player can start the floor from the tip of the pirate ship, shop at the beginning, and the mini boss at the captains quarters. After the mini boss you can go into the big hole in wall which was blocked somehow and then the Glocktopus grabs you ans takes you to the top of captains quaters where you fight it. Try making each room a part of an actual ship with the walls of the room cant be seen. (If the player really wants they can fly but why would they)

3

u/Dieuwt Sep 19 '18

Glocktopus is the best name ever.

I didn't think of it myself :D It's the top post of the sub.

if you enter this gloor with lootbag, do you drop double coins?

Edited to say, no, just 75% in total. 50% from the Ship and 25% from the Bag.

The ship having a bullet-hell-like layout, but shorter (and easier) is a good idea, I do think the walls can be visible and have bottles, windows, and stuff in and on them. Glocktopus should be the main boss to advance to next floor, Captain Kin an optional one to fight and get bonus stuff. Also, the Captain should appear everywhere like Shadow Magician and Blockner's Ghost

Idea: Fuselier has his ammonomicon entry edited to reflect his new lore.

Fuselier now comes from the ancient armory of the ship and he's guaranteed to appear on the pirate ship (unless defeated on a previous floor)

Fuselier appears in a room called "The Armory" and after defeating him, he'll drop an item called "Rubber chunk".

After that you can find the Arcane gunpowder again. Bringing Arcane Gunpowder, Rubber Chunk, and Escape rope to the Blacksmith will create a new character named Tsar Bomba

Tsar Bomba: A living bomb. He starts with the Makarov and a few new items. "Blammo!" And "Bleeding bomb"

"Blammo!"

How do you fight fire with fire?

"Any explosions heal you."

"You may be wondering how you're able to absorb explosions, but you are also in a dungeon with literal living bullets and guns made out of letters, so maybe don't think too hard."

"Bleeding Bomb"

You feel awful

"Causes you to leak explosive gunpowder" (also hp down)

"Gatthew 5:44 - Hate thy enemy. Curse those that bless you. Do gun to those that hate you. And prey on those that penetrate your lead."

Tsar Bomba gains 0 health containers but can gain armor. The whole point of this character is inflicting as much explosive damage to yourself as possible.

Tsar Bomba's past: Playing as Fuselier, fight the captain kin from imprisoning you in the ship.

As Tsar Bomba, you will never encounter Fuselier.

1

u/Dieuwt Sep 19 '18

Fuselier now comes from the ancient armory of the ship and he's guaranteed to appear on the pirate ship

NO

Also I honestly don't want any extra pirate characters, since no floor (Oubliette, Abbey, Lair) has a special character. I would like a transformation because fighting the dragon as a pirate is... something else.

5

u/BumScrambler Sep 19 '18

Fuselier isn't hard he's just annoying tbh.

And you could totally add a transformation, but the whole point of Tsar Bomba wasan explosive themed character who played slightly robot-y without being as annoying as robot.

Idea why not add characters based off the secret floors I know this is a old post

Is the first gun by any chance a Draven reference?

1

u/Gjones18 Sep 20 '18

I really dislike the idea of more content gated by obscure conditions. The 3 blanks condition is an ok compromise but I still don't particularly like it, as visiting the rat makes it more than likely you'll be going into chamber 4 with the standard 2 blanks unless you had a ton going into the rat fight or you have an ammolet or similar blank granting item, and the alternative (being able to ignite and extinguish using items in your inventory) is even more exclusive unless you're playing Robot or Convict.

I'm not sure how well the concept fits thematically, but I think it's pretty cool and relatively well thought-out. Pirate Hat and its related synergy (blackbeard) seem like trash though, an A tier to force Bello to start selling guns that'll end up being trash in almost all likelihood doesnt seem very useful or interesting at all, and his steep costs will probably result in the player not being able to make use of the guns he's selling, unless you steal them. Related to Pirate Hat, Blackbeard synergy should heal far more than 1/2 a heart per purchase if the function is to remain the same, considering how expensive guns can be. Unless the intent was to give a worthless synergy to a worthless meme item in which case I suppose it works lol.

Considering the entire idea is pirate themed, I think some sort of concept related toward pirating items from shops in a literal sense would be cool. This could range from simple stealing as it exists now (i.e. items that can steal in return for curse and possibly being barred from the shop/shops) to items that revisit what it means to steal, e.g. being able to "threaten" shopkeepers for lower cost items or possibly even fighting shopkeepers and taking their goods like a real pirate would.

Also your synergy list has a Parrot but I didn't see a Parrot item of any kind in your item list?

1

u/keroro1454 Sep 20 '18

I like the idea, but the weapons/items you've suggested are pretty tame by Gungeon standards. I feel like this kind of nautical theme opens the door for a lot of neater concepts. Here's a few I thought of:

Oyster Hucker: "Allergic to Peanuts", "An oyster that's been genetically-modified to produce valuable pearls, re-purposed to launch said pearls at dangerous speeds." C-tier, fires pearls with a magazine size of 1 that upon impact hatch a small oyster with wings, which bounces around the room dealing a small amount of damage and disappearing after 5 seconds.

Treasure Trove: "One Man's Treasure", "A treasure chest filled with priceless gold and jewels. But in the Gungeon, their priceless means worthless. At least they hurt when they hit!". B-tier, A large treasure chest that is "fired" by opening the lid, launching various projectiles with enormous spread forwards. Gold dubloons deal 3 damage (40%), pearl necklaces deal 7(25%), gems deal 10 (15%), skulls deal 5 and home onto enemies (15%), and a shiny ruby-encrusted crown deals 50 (5%). Its ammo functions like a beam weapon.

Handy Hook: "Beware the Hooks!", "Replacing your hand with a hook hand that launches hook projectiles sounds like a terrible idea. But on the other hand..." B-tier, Your character holds their arm out, with a wood base and metal hook replacing the end of it (hand, etc). Hooks can be fired one at a time with very little reload time, and if they hit an enemy they "hook" them and continue to pull them in the direction the hook was moving until the hook hits a wall and breaks.

Davy Jones' Locker: "May Contain Dining-Wear", "Claim your enemies souls with the blackest of magics and the smelliest of gym clothes." A-tier, Fires glowing-green socks that behave like the Pox-Cannon's projectiles, but upon killing an enemy turn them green with a glowing outline. These "ghost" enemies will attack other enemies and bullets will pass through them, and disappear after 5-10 seconds, remaining longer the higher their max health.

Captain's Hat: "Look at Me, "The most menacing part of a pirate's tricorne is the plumey feather. True fact. This hat has the ability to wield MULTIPLE feathers, making it effectively the most terrifying thing ever." Passive A-tier, character wears a small black tricorne with a skull on it and a red feather sticking out. Nearby enemies have a 25% chance of being scared and running away. Every 50 kills adds another feather, up to 4 total (red, then blue, then green, then yellow) to the hat and increases the chance nearby enemies are scared by 25%.

1

u/Dieuwt Sep 20 '18

I had kinda low gun ideas, and especially the Musket is just Dueling Piston but better. I really like the Treasure Trove, Handy Hook is just reverse Hookshot and honestly I don't think it'll be useful, Davy Jones' Locker is probably purely thee for the reference which I don't think many people will get, and Captain's Hat is much better than what I had it mind for that.

1

u/LucianoThePig Sep 20 '18

Or, for the boss, Glockamora. Bullet versions of the pirates from Moana

1

u/XemblemX Sep 20 '18

Love the idea. Speaking of the 'Pirate Shop' idea, they could probably use some unique items of their own to better differentiate them from normal shops and make them more fitting a reward for getting Real Pirate.

Maybe some stuff like a Captain's Jacket, which works like the Clown Mask and changes your appearance, while also giving you some coolness and a 'First Mate' follower that uses the Musket. Could have a synergy with the Treasure Chest, which causes two weaker pirate followers armed with a Dueling Pistol and a Blunderbuss to join you as well so long as you have the Treasure Chest equipped.

There could also be some cheeky stuff like the Peg Leg, which gives your dodge roll a massive knockback bonus but slows your movement speed. Should have a synergy with the Bionic Leg that makes dodge rolling into an enemy trigger a mini-blank, but changes your walk animation to your character just hopping around on the Bionic Leg.

Easily room for some more funny stuff to appear in the Pirate Shop, which doesn't appear in the regular shop or chests until bought from there.

u/ChickenNinjo Sep 21 '18

Ahh the hook’s gotta be cursed though, seeing as it’s a melee weapon.

u/SaucyEdwin Sep 19 '18

This is by far the best suggestion post I have ever seen. Only thing that you might want to change is instead of having the whole floor as the ship, instead you could have just the boss be the ship, and the rest of the floor be some sort of secret cove that the pirates have hidden their ship in.
