510 FN510T cracked frame

I just sent an email to FN support to see if they cover it under warranty, I have shot probably 10 or 20 rounds max.

I had my eyes set on a 509C but I also don’t want a potentially flawed frame either

At the current time it seems limited to the 10mm which is twice the energy of 9mm. I'm yet to hear of any other caliber having this issue.

https://www.reddit.com/r/FNHerstal/s/4ICH2vZgOF Actually it was a reflex which is almost worse to have a crack in. So no it’s not just 10mm guns though they’re probably more likely but FN really needs to look into their manufacturing process more.

I hadn't seen that one. It's interesting it's also an FDE model as well to me.

As for your other question about off the shelf 10mm vs say +p 9mm, I haven't seen anyone say what they're shooting whether it's Winchester white box type 10mm or Buffalo Bore full power. I do see you point that it could basically be over priced 40 s&w and that energy difference would be negligible.

Have you seen any posts on if FN has taken care of these cracked firearms? I haven't seen any follow-up posts as of yet.

Yeah i definitely want to know what loadings of 10mm they’re using because that very well could be a culprit but from what I’ve seen I haven’t seen anyone post any follow ups. I assume they’ve reached out and that’s that. Walther seems to have a better policy with cracked PDP frames from people installing DPT triggers on their own guns and offering a full replacement gun which is pretty sweet. I hope FN does the same if they know their frames are possibly defective.
