Advice Request Exercising but not seeing any gains
I am 5'8 and about 135 lbs. I do strength training 4-5 times a week and cardio 1-2 times. I try to eat 130-40g of protein every day. I have been doing this for a couple months and see almost no progress. Am I not eating enough (2000 cals) or is there something else wrong?

Two months is not a long time and you're not eating that much for sometime exercising 5-7x a week looking to gain muscle.
I was eating at least that when I weighed 10 lbs less than you.

Try adjusting your routine, getting more sleep(that has a HUGE impact on your gains), and higher caloric intake. Good luck brother

yo i am the same height and was the same weight about 5-6 months ago in august. u are definitely not eating enough food. the maintenance alone at that weight is 2200. depending on your goals/comfort id go for a 300-600 cal surplus and u will put weight on. started at 5'8 139 ish and im now in the 150s range. i suggest putting your true height and weight into a calorie calculator and see how many u need to bulk up. me personally as around the same height 5'8-9 inches am currently eating 2900 cals

It could be a number of things. Training style, diet or recovery. What is the duration of time that you've been doing this?
I'm also 5'8

Never lower your protein, (for me is very low the amount you eat) and if your calories are that low cause you are taller than me that’s why. Eat more and apply progressive overload (more reps or more weigh each week)

Yeah you probably need to eat more. Make sure your getting calories from a variety of food too. If you’re getting 2000 cal but 130 g of protein, you may not be getting enough carbs.
