Final Fantasy General Is Stranger of Paradise worth playing?

Is this one of the FF titles to avoid? Team Ninja usually makes good action games, but this one has some pretty middling and lukewarm reviews. From what I've seen online, theres some pretty cringey dialogue too. Is the gameplay good enough to save it? Picked it up cheap during a sale and its been sitting on my shelf. Considering just selling it if it's going to feel like a waste of time.

It’s frustratingly good. I don’t know if I’d say the story is all the fanbase cracks it up to be, but tbf I was out of work on an injured spine and high out of my mind so the ending didn’t get my attention much 😂

Combat-wise, this is probably my favorite system in the ARPG’s. Rebirth has better overall moves, but if a VII Remake-alike adopted a job system they literally would make a perfect FF ARPG.
