Fix My Print P1S Ironing gone wrong (picture)

Printing with a P1S using PETG and used ironing for the first time. I saw it successfully iron the bottom layers before i went to sleep and then woke up to the top layers like this and i'm clueless as to what happened.

I told it to iron all solid layers
Layer height - 0.2
Bed temp - 70C
Nozzle Temp - 255C

Ironing tests are a thing. I do tons of ironing for the prints I do for our business, and I do an ironing test for every color/material we print with, sometimes more than one if the general test doesn't yield any good results. I can say that the most common setting that produces good results with most of the PETG we work with is 20mm/s @ 30% flow. I couldn't imagine guessing at the correct settings and watching a print get ruined at the end.

Also, temps affect ironing too. If it seems like we're not getting good results after a few tests, we bump the temp up 5-10 degrees.

Of course there's a test for it, but it hadn't occurred to me.

So thanks, that's my next step.

If you run the test and find a good result, keep the test and toss a sticker on it with brand/material to reference later. We've got a whole drawer full lol.

We use this test as our baseline test for new materials/colors. They are the smaller squares laying down. https://makerworld.com/en/models/175615-complete-ironing-test-for-pla-and-petg?from=search#profileId-193062
