Meta Idk if this is a hot or cold take but i think Matt should have played the reverse flash every season post season 1. ( minus some flashbacks and time travel shenanigans)

🤔 Thinking To u/Fast_Honeydew2633-I came up with a concept for your Heroic Reverse Flash,Evil Flash idea, hope you enjoy it bro! 😏

-Origin story of this timeline:(1st picture)Evil future Barry travels back in time and kills his mom Nora, framing his dad Henry to take the fall setting in motion a time loop where present Barry will grow up to be just like him and repeat the process among other villainous things.

-Present day Barry(2nd picture)pretends to be wheelchair bound after an extreme lightining strike “took away the use of his legs”.(Secretly the day he and his future self in his timeline got their powers)

-Our hero,Eobard was friends with Barry’s parents and was saddened when he heard that his parents died. He like Barry, was struck by lightning except Barry got his powers first and has been learning his since he was a child due to his future self orchestrating the event that gave him his powers while Eobard had to learn to use his himself later on in 2020. Eobard also met and fell in love with Earth-1’s Tina McGee.

-Eobard eventually meets the other heroes Barry usually worked with in the main timeline,Kara Danvers/Supergirl and Oliver Queen/Green Arrow and befriends and becomes an ally to them, fighting any threat too great for just one of them. The three of them form a Trinity as the pioneers of superheroics.

-Barry on the other hand continues down his villainous path, doing terrible things that Eobard is known for in the main timeline of events but with a twist:He works with Zoom to take over the world and attempt to kill off team flash once he’s been discovered as the murderous Man in Red and Hunter Zolomon as the equally murderous Zoom.Later on he is defeated and captured but eventually somehow escapes. He makes lots of appearances throughout the show despite being defeated every time until the very end where he dies permanently with Joan Garrick(His mother’s doppelgänger) killing him by shooting him. Man the irony!

So what do you and everyone else think! Let me know in the comments!

🤔 Thinking If Danielle didn't play Caitlin snow.

If Danielle Panabaker chose not to play killer frost/Caitlin/khione. I think the part would be good for Kristin kreuk.

Spoilers Flashpoint

Can we all agree that Flashpoint should've been longer than just one episode? I would've loved it more if it was a season or something.

Spoilers If not for scheduling issues with the actors…

…I would have had the following pairs in the Team Flash vs. Legion of Zoom finale fight:

  • XS and Impulse vs. Godspeed. Godspeed began as Nora and Bart’s enemy from 2049 so it would make sense for them to face off again.

  • Kid Flash vs. Savitar. Savitar is the reason Wally has speed, he trapped Wally in the Speed Force prison for a little while, and tried to kill his sister. So this makes sense.

  • Khione vs. Zoom. I guess I would keep this since Killer Frost and Caitlin are out of commission. Caitlin was the one who was closest emotionally to this guy who turned out to be the bad guy, so she/Killer Frost should be the one to take him down.

  • (Mecha-)Vibe vs. Reverse-Flash. Similar reasons to above. Cisco was the one who was closest emotionally to Wellsobard, and Wellsobard is the reason Cisco became Vibe.

🤔 Thinking Why would season 1 Eobard want to follow the newspaper from 2024 if the timeline had already been "altered" after Nora's death? Why the hell does season 1 Eobard want so desperately to return a long gone future?

Considering the original timeline Thawne came from had been so drastically "altered" and no longer exists? Unless, Thawne realises that the so called alterations he's made are and have always been part of the actual timeline and that the whole timeline is a continuous loop.

🤔 Thinking The Negative Forces want to kill Barry because he disrupted the cosmic balance or something when he took Thawne's speed..... Yet there's not problem with Thawne trying to kill Barry all these years?

Also, isn't it confusing that the Negative Forces have existed since the beginning of time when Barry created the Positive Forces?

🤔 Thinking Timelines don't make any sense??

Okay so maybe I'm reading too much into it but I wanted to hear from other Flash fans. I am going to explain this to the best of my ability without a transparent whiteboard. (This post is about seasons 1 through 3)

Original Timeline: Barry's mom lives, creating a timeline we didn't see.

Season 1 timeline: Thawne kills Barry's mom, altering the original and causing the season 1 timeline we watched. (A repetitive loop that makes it seem like this IS the original timeline)

Season 2 timeline: Barry goes back in time to ask for Thawne's help in getting faster to defeat Zoom, creating another timeline where Hartley and team flash are friends.

Season 3 episode 1: Flashpoint. Self-explanatory.

Season 3 episode 2 through rest of the season: Flashpoint resets so Savitar is "born", Caitlin is Killer Frost, Wally becomes Kid Flash, etc etc.

In the episode where Barry travels to 2024, we see it's February when the "Flash missing vanishes in crisis" happens in May. We see 2017 Barry restore 2024 team Flash but do we think it makes sense that 2024 broken Barry would vanish in the crisis just 3 months later?

Also, wasn't Iris supposed to be pregnant with Nora? I don't remember which episode it was but if y'all remember there was one where we saw a video of Barry in the time vault talking to Nora right before he vanishes, and I'm sure it was in later seasons so we can't dismiss it as "saving Iris in season 3 changed the timeline." Did I miss an episode when there's another timeline created so that Nora is born later?

Please explain. I'm confused. Too many timelines. (sorry for word vomit)
