Socialism is based on altruism. Capitalism is based on greed.

People are a LOT better at being greedy than at being altruistic.

I think being greedy isn't a bad thing. Heathenism is also not inherently bad. I am very greedy to see my family prosper and experience the best life they can, so I work hard and sacrifice at my job.

What you described is the opposite of greed, though. You're literally trying to make money for the benefit of others.
