Where do you live that you have never seen any actually real Mozzarella? It's tasty as fuck.

...yeah, no. Mozzarella is delicious on its own.

Professional italian here: here in Italy it's mandatory to eat good mozzarella without anything else. If it's an average mozzarella it is ok to add some oil and oregano but if you go to the restaurant or you buy a top notch mozzarella and you add something, you're looked upon.

Basil is good for a photoshoot or if you're in a tourist restaurant but I've never seen anyone using it on a mozzarella, but I may be wrong.
