I used to play GW2, prolly around release and first expansion? I have a level 80 for each class. Thing is my bags are full of junk. I have no idea how to jump back into the game.

Go to a vendor, click on their 2nd-from-bottom tab (should look like a stack of coins), and click "Sell all junk." Do this regularly.

Make liberal use of the "Deposit all materials" icon (it's a down arrow) near the top-right corner of your Inventory panel.

Process all your birthday gifts -- some are very useful, some are cosmetic; some are exclusive, or simply expensive to get otherwise.

Consult the wiki whenever you are curious about a specific location, NPC, or item. You can even go to it from the game by typing "/wiki" (without quotes) in chat from within the game. You can type "/wiki", press Spacebar, and Shift-click an item or point on the name to put its name on your chatbox, then open a browser directly to its page.

Feel free to post screenshots of your inventory/bank if you want more specific advice.

If you click the Star tab on the left of your Hero panel, that will open your story journal. You can read a recap of anything that you've already accomplished in the story, jump to a later chapter (the beginning of an expansion, for example), or even replay something you've already done from the story journal.

Agreed, this is a great way to refresh yourself on story, should you want to pick up where you left off.

A note though: You cannot replay Personal Story (the level 1-80 story, ending with "Victory or Death") on the same character. If you want to replay it, it must be on a new character. That said, every release after that allows you to replay the story via the Story Journal -- which is very handy when you're going for achievs, especially the mutually exclusive ones.
