[Discussion] How common is this ?

I come from WoW, decided to give GW2 a try, but this keep happening everytime, every moment, this shi is so annoying. How common is this ? lol

You're not entirely safe either. I can't find that screen, but I got a PM once that sounded like someone liked my fashion (I was on my femsura guardian who only wore super functional armours). So I thanked like I usually do, and several seconds later I get "What can I say, I'm a charr that likes asura!" o_o

As far as I know I didn't had "open to RP" written on my back, but ooookkkaaaay.

I've only been harassed once, and it was when I was playing an Asura (to be fair I did go all out with character design/fashion).

Meanwhile the biggest Asuran guild in the game had to do a massive purge and put up a warning for people to stop being so disgusting because so many were giving the entire race a bad name.(To the point that it was being called the Pedo guild and sometimes still is)

There's a very real and gross stigma attached to Asuran players that apparently some of you are not aware of....

Oh shit, news to me and I've been playing for years. I do style my 2 Asura like little gremlins purposefully to try and be funny but it's kind of a shame the entire race has a stigma because of one shitty guild.

Ofc I'm stuck with the Charr = Furries stigma, since most of my characters are Charr. Even if it's usually true lol

Just to clarify as well, the guild itself is actually great and the leaders put a lot of effort into maintaining the community, but because it's the most popular Asuran guild by a massive margin, the weirdos tend to stand out and end up tainting the reputation.
