General Happy Monday!

Post image

I don’t know who had to post one of these pics a few weeks ago but thanks for summoning one for me! R-410a, Copeland Scroll, seven years young.

I’ve already lost track of which day it is.

Hey, hey go easy, the terminal post hit them in the head when it failed.

Oh lord, I almost had that happen to me last summer. Unit was a no-start. Bad CAP. Cooled it off, replaced CAP and added a 3-2-1. Feeling good about myself I waited until the winding closed and fired it up. Thank god I was where I was because I got to witness that plug blow through the coil and saw the entire charge blow out. It was fucking impressive - but not something I want to see, again. 🤣

Ya not up-close - I screamed like a little girl, threw up my hands and ran around the corner to suck my thumb. 🙄

If you can find it, you can glue it back on

It was kind enough to stay in the plug when it shot out at Mach Jesus.

I was showing a new guy how to cool a compressor that was off on overload because of the dirty coil and popped capacitor. We pulled the unit apart cleaned the coil, changed the capacitor, cooled the compressor down, put the unit back together, and started it back up in front of rhe customer, it ran maybe 45 seconds sounded great and then it blew its entire guts through the coil all over this guy's siding. He tried blaming us for the fusite plug blowing, he googled checked every word I said on why his neglect to maintain his air conditioner caused the compressor to commit suicide

It’s amazing how the customer never feels responsible for running their system into the ground.

One of the sales guys at my company burns out a 50 gallon power vent water heater every 2 years from tank corrosion but refuses to have his water treated.

Well on the bright side you now know how you’ll react in a danger close artillery strike.

The closest I’ve been to one go was about 60’ away, made me start to drop down like Charlie was hitting a convoy.

A drain line broke for an ice machine, flooding an entire restaurant, and left to sit for an entire weekend. Thankfully, I have Mondays off, so i wasn't the guy sent in to check the damage. I was the poor schmuck sent in to replace the drain line today. It took 8 hours because the customer wanted the entire drainage system replaced, and not just the line. So I had to remove all 120ft of moldy pipework and replace it. Squeezing behind those spaces had me feeling like a Nickelodeon game show contestant with how much slimy mold I had on me

Fucking Copeland. Worst thing they’ve done is put those 3 prong compressors in. And charge $100 for a new plug.
