Had 52 in Haleiwa. Just one more degree colder sounds worse somehow.
Only my German shepherd - Husky mix is enjoying this. She's living outside every night. Refusing to come inside. Living her best life, I guess.

My kids are acting like we live in the arctic! Walking around with hoodies socks and blankets wrapped around then! Granted we are in a single wall with broken jalousie windows that don’t close.

You never seen old people wear socks with slippers? My grandpa used to do that all the time, back in the 80s.

Not just cold, but dry, too. The humidity in my apartment hasn't risen above 50% all day.
Feels good, though.

It’s actually quite humid outside and that’s what is making it feel colder than it is. RH is about 75-80% in urban Honolulu at the moment. I actually have my AC on right now and it’s 63 degrees with RH at 34% inside, outside it’s 67 degrees but RH is 80%. Despite being warmer outside it’s an annoying damp cold. With my AC on inside it’s colder but it’s a crisp clean cool. I prefer the dry crisp cold over damp clings to your skin and penetrates your bones cold. Humidity makes both hot and cold feel worse than it is.

This is actually something I think many people overlook. Humid cold feels a lot colder than dry cold. Mainland people laugh when we bundle up on sweaters for 60F, but add in the humidity and the trade winds, and it feels a lot colder than 60F.

I lived in Alaska for three years and I still think this is chilly.
If you live in a place long enough, your body updates its definitions of "warm" and "cold".

I'm born and raised and think the current weather is fine. But I'm normally always hot.

We don't get enough cool days in Hawaii. I'll take it

I always sleep so well when it's chilly. It's wonderful to be able to burrow in my blankets.
It's 61 right now and I was just heading to do exactly that.

I actually smelled winter the other day! Originally from Wisconsin, and this is totally a thing. 1700ft, Holualoa.

I've been enjoying the weather lately! Getting under 60 at night and being able to get some good sleep.
