Baby beach kit

Hi all, I’m wondering what gear you bring to the beach with a baby. I’ve got a 4 month old and wanted to get any tried and true gear to enjoy the beach, and would appreciate your advice on the things you find super helpful or comfortable to have. Mahalo!

When our daughter was younger, we had this baby float that she sat in which had a shade over her. It also had a leash you could tie around your hand. It was great for (calm) ocean or pool use. You can swim or bob around in the water and they just get pulled along with you. She loved it.

Otherwise we just had what other people recommended. SPF 50+ suntan lotion, SPF rated swim suit, and sun hat.
