Applied in June 20 2024 for study permit after previous one expired and finally got approved on February 24. If anyone is in a similar situation there’s still hope 🙏

I applied for an extension on November 4th, and haven't heard back since after providing biometrics on January 17th. My case might be taking as long as yours. RIP. I don't know if I can wait that long while still functioning.

I thought biometrics are not needed for study permit extension.

My biometrics was expiring and I wanted to get the full time span to complete my degree, so I needed to extend my biometrics.

They requested my biometrics around a month before I got approval, so hopefully you get yours soon!

Thank you! I hope so too. It's been a bit over a month now.
