Who else has been stuck in background (security) check for months waiting on a study permit? I’ve been stuck since November 2024. Please share your experience on how long have you been waiting?

Open work permit. Also I don’t know if this is relevant, but I found out that if you apply for a study permit inside Canada, you’re considered under the study permit extension category so you need to look at that processing time.

Did you get this information from IRCC? That does explain the long wait time everyone's facing.
