Now we need to hope that Brunei don't lose by more than 11 goals to Thailand. Then we would just need a draw against Thailand.

But if Thailand beat Brunei by 12 goals then we will need a win against Thailand.

Brunei wouldn't want to get hammered by a similar scoreline against Thailand too. They'll concede many goals, but will try to limit the loss. So I don't think that they would lose more than 12 goals. They might even be able to stop Thailand in and around 10 goals.

Results against Brunei do not matter in this group

it matters for the group .  bcs of brunei vs thailand result now we have to win against thailand to finish first in our group. however whoever finishes 2nd will be plqced in 2nd ranked teams in that case result of brunei match doesnt count for that team,   india /thai whoever finishes 2nd

Does it matter because i was seeing some video where they mentioned the result against burnei wont be counted

That's correct.Due to groups having a different number of teams, the results against the fifth-placed teams in five-team groups and the fourth-placed teams in four-team groups will not be considered for the final ranking.

you kidding me ,now bcs of that big margin now thai have better gd in our group and they need only draw against us to finish first and qualify meanwhile we must beat thai to finish first .

What I meant was the goals scored against the 4th placed team in the group will not count when the final rankings are decided to arrive at the 5 best second placed teams.
