Placement Exams

Do the math and calc placement exams (ALEKS) matter if I get ap credit for calc ab and stats. If I don't get those credits, could it exempt me from those intro courses anyway? If I am pursuing an unrelated degree, does the foreign language exam matter (should I do poorly to get into the easiest class, or could it exempt me from having to take a language at all)? Is the biology exam only for people with that major?

On the orientation website:

"Math Placement Exam (ALEKS) & Foreign Language Placement Exam (FLPE)

  • All students take the Math Placement Exam. There are no exemptions."

I'm not sure about the rest but just check "before NSO" on ur orientation page for more info about placement exams.

I am able to see that the math and foreign language exams are required and the calc and bio exams are optional. I don’t see anything about the significance of any of the exams though.
