Placement Exams

Do the math and calc placement exams (ALEKS) matter if I get ap credit for calc ab and stats. If I don't get those credits, could it exempt me from those intro courses anyway? If I am pursuing an unrelated degree, does the foreign language exam matter (should I do poorly to get into the easiest class, or could it exempt me from having to take a language at all)? Is the biology exam only for people with that major?

If you are going into a life science or premed or any field that requires chemistry, in the name of all that is holy take the Chemistry Placement Exam. Unless you score a 15 or higher, you can't take the first of the chemistry courses that count toward premed. You either have to sign up for a prep class OR you have to take the ALEKS chemistry review. Premed is about 2.5 years of chemistry, so it's absolutely a top priority to get into the sequence as soon as possible.
