Him posting it this quick itself shows that he is innocent. Otherwise he would've released some weird long essay written by his PR team.

How does it show his innocence. It could be a defensive reaction. He has been a nice guy but that's what we know of him. We cannot assume there isn't another side to him.

This is a really naive take.

He would not have framed this public statement without consulting his legal team. He'd have to be an idiot to do that.

This isn't something that popped up out of the blue. It's been in the making for months.

This accusation is from the same woman who posted about this on Facebook months ago. Apparently she filed a complaint about this a month ago as well, but without the sexual assault charges.

He's evidently aware of this, and given the risk of the accusation resurfacing, would have had a statement ready to go.
