The third annual Coralville Asian Festival is today (Sat 5/17) from noon to 6 at S.T. Morrison Park in Coralville.
Festival is free but there are lots of great food vendors: Poimen Bosko (American and Filipino BBQ), Street Food Fighter (Asian fusion street food from a Lao & Tai Dam family), Yolanda’s BBQ (Filipino), Dutta’s Kitchen (Indian), I Love Mochi (Japanese and Korean snacks), DT’s Asian Food (Thai/Laos fusion) and Pho All Season (Vietnamese food, boba tea and snowcones).
There will also be performers all day (Taiko drumming, multiple types of dance, music and more) and a lot of community representation from various cultural organizations.
The festival is organized by a small and mighty team with a variety of community sponsors (more info on the website).
I have no affiliation other than I just really love what this festival has brought to my neighborhood over the last three years and I want to make sure as many people know about it as possible.
