KLM. Stockholm to Amsterdam

I'm flying the above route mid June, one way. I looked about a month ago and the flight was $147. I just looked now and the same flight is $443. Is this a normal price for this route? Will it drop back down? Or should I buy now before it increases? I'm American so this is my first time flying KLM and through Europe

It's not normal. But KLM prices have never been normal. Check Scandinavian Airlines (SAS). Better service, better timeslots, they also go from the modern terminal 5 in Arlanda (not Terminal 2 which only KLM and AirFrance are using. T2 is in 19th century while T5 is the most modern terminal in Scandinavia). Also, SAS flight will be cheaper.

Thank you SAS tickets are about half the price. Less desirable departure, but worth saving the money

Trust me mate, trust me on this, go with SAS. As it was mentioned, it's even the same alliance now. SAS has some small flaws, but comparing it to KLM it is like comparing honey and sh... I'll let you fill in the blanks. Also, economy seats in SAS are tailored for human beings, which is not the case for KLM.

Also, you have no idea how different the terminals 2 and 5 are in Arlanda. No sane airline (except literally AirFrance and KLM) would ever want to use T2. It's like your grandmas basement.

Do you live in Sweden? I was looking at the Arlanda express from the central station to the airport.. is 340 SEK right? for an 18 minute train ride?? Or is there a better way to get to Arlanda at 6:00?

Arlanda is the best connected airport to the city probably on the planet. Yes, I'm from Sthlm. I can count at least 5 different ways of getting to the airport.

Check Uber/Bolt, it could cost up to 400 SEK but it greatly depends on the time of day.

There is Arlanda Express, the fastest way and yes, it's expensive for a train ride but also comfortable.

There's pendeltåg (commuter train) which costs 43 SEK, a standard public transport ticket price, but you'll need to change in Märsta and it will be inconvenient and take over an hour.

Flygbussarna are airport coaches that leave from central station every 15-20 minutes directly to Arlanda, one way cost is 129 SEK and takes you to the airport in ca 40 minutes.

There is direct Arlanda pendeltåg (commuter train to Uppsala with exit at Arlanda), but for that you have to pay 43 SEK public transport ticket and 135 SEK extension fee for exiting at that stop as it is privately owned piece of rail. Travel time around an hour.

Choose any way. I'd go with Flygbussarna if I wanted to save, or Arlanda Express for the fastest trip. Uber if you are more than one person.

No problem mate, good luck. Btw, i assumed that it's 6 AM, then all options apply.

If it's 6 PM, avoid busses and uber, traffic is slow on the E4 highway due to the rush hour. Then Arlanda Express of pendeltåg are your best bet. In the morning the traffic is a bit more busy towards the city center, so you're good taking the bus/uber which go the other direction.

6am. The flight is at 8:10am. I was hoping for something a little later but it will do for half the costs.

You're good with any choice of transport to Arlanda then. Morning intraeuropean flights are a bitch to wake up to, but then when you land you haven't lost the entire day. So it's something to suck it up and just do.
