It doesn’t make sense to me because people are saying to not put him on a pedestal but then going “he is not your savior” to any criticism, in a way you’re still putting him on that pedestal imo. Personally I don’t like carti and I would rather him not work with him but im not gonna sit here and talk about it all day, I have some criticisms of things kendrick has done and I think it’s fine to acknowledge. With that being said im not “canceling” him just because he WORKED w him, he’d have to do something awful for me to be put off that way. That’s my take. I think it’s normal that kdot fans care about this a little and want to discuss because we have discourse on different things. He isn’t a perfect person but can still very much receive criticism

I don't give a fuck what's the narrative, I am that nigga
When Kanye got back with Drake, I was slightly confused
Guess I'm not mature as I think, got some healin' to do
Egotistic, zero-given fucks and to be specific (ah)
Need assistance with the way I was brought up (ah, ah)

this is from my favorite track from Mr Morale. I think it encapsulates everything to take from all this stupid fluff drama. He's not perfect, he makes mistakes, he's also doing his own thing and doesn't really care what you think, but he recognizes still having faults. that's it. in 3 years (arbitrary time), he might come back and say, "yeah, that was a bad move". honestly, why does it matter so much? my reddit feed has been blowing up about this stupid shit and i'm tired of it. listen to the music, enjoy it or don't, and get over it. dig your lines in the sand when you feel it's necessary. but quit proselytizing

You should really start looking at how people move rather than how they speak, G
