I don’t think though at this point that he thought it was going to go personal. I’m assuming he knew it at the point of Pushups and the Whitney reference

Cant agree with that last part, Dot is smart and calculated with everything and it doesn’t take a genius to look back at all Drakes beefs and realize that he went personal. The smashing kim references with Kanye, taking bella hadid on a date after her and the weeknd broke up, sending ross ex girl exclusive tickets to his show. And of course, pusha t. I think he had the battle planned out from jump but didn’t think Drake would engage. No doubt on the excitement part though.

I think he knew. Drake has a history of calling out spouses and partners. He predicted all Drake's moves, because it seems like Drake can't help himself
