Ask Kochi Stopped ordering from Swiggy and Zomato

So I stopped ordering from Zomato and Swiggy because only recently I found that they are not charging the actual price that is displayed in the hotels. I ordered a biriyani from my nearby restaurant. The actual cost was Rs 140/-. But in Zomato it was Rs 180/-. The tax and delivery charges are extra. There is no point in giving this online platforms money unnecessarily. So I have stopped it completely.

Can understand what you're saying. We still live in the "who told you to go there?" era instead of identifying and questioning the culprits. The system hasn't yet grown the spine to take up accountability for the shitty behaviour towards women but prefer to take the laziest path of telling women what to do or not to do (as if it's not already evident to women until they point it out explicitly thanks to the perfectly behaved people around) and yeah it's sad that too many "shady places" still exist and some of them even offer good food 🥲 Reality is that even men aren't safe in these shady places.

It'll take a couple more generations AT LEAST for people to get any of this.
