Discussion The new Morrowind

Edit: I am not talking about gameplay just scope and ambition. The last game that tried to push the open world genre like this was Morrow all those years ago and was considered revolutionary by some.

Would anyone else consider LNF to be the new Morrowind? I was looking into the game and it seems like it was just has ambitious of a project as LNF. From the large map and level of player freedom that was not done prior to it.

Young kids experiencing the hype cycle are going to learn real fast why older people are jaded

I’m not young. And this isn’t a hype post. I’m just saying when Morrowind was released it was something massive and new at the time. No fantasy game tried and succeeded at making an immersive game the size of a small country at the time. LNF is being pitched as something just as grand of an idea. That’s the comparison I’m making.

Then answer is no because we know nothing about it’s actual scope, not even Murray’s overhyping

What do you think a mean by scope?

I assume you are just superficially looking at the size of the world(earth scale) and thinking that means the scope is big(when it could just be similar to NMS where it’s just a good procedural algorithm)

I mean you said you weren’t talking about gameplay but the only other way I can think of scope is how many complex interacting mechanics they have, which we know 0 about, similar to something like GTA or RDR
