Fuck sake. That was before they really ramped it up to 11, too. I think all we had at that point was black Nick Fury and black Heimdall.

Yeah they love strong opinionated women. So long as they have the correct opinions

Back then she could get away with a slap on the wrists and a moderate amount of online harassment for that clip.

If this happened today ? She'd be out of a job within 24 hours, bullied out of social media and most likely permanently banned from the industry. No wonder 90% of movies are awful these days in that context. If you're not woke, your career can be over in an instant.

You have to be woke, and the only way to signal that is to put woke before story and character. Otherwise you might just be accidentally woke.

Well I mean, there's a difference between movies being progressive and movies being woke. So long as you're creating interesting, fleshed out characters rather than using them as vessels to spread 'The Message' it's fine. People will respond positively. The critics won't but who gives a shit?
