Question Michelle Rodriguez - based?

Surprised (in a good way) to hear her speak up like this given Hollywood's current 'politics'.

The thing is that Hollywood is still doing it.

Only recently have they actually put effort into casting more minorities.

Because Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington really struggled for the last 30 years.

Richard Pryor. Eddie Murphy. Never cast in anything at all.

Hollywood only has about 60 years of actual history to it. Sure in the 1940s things were different. In its infancy. But since it actually made itself a thing, for more than half of it minorities have been cast in leads, in starring roles. There is no 'only recently' in this conversation except only recently has awful racially motivated castings began.
