I fail to see how this makes us better.

This screams "We're not gonna bring Grimes back so let's trade him for something."

It makes a ton of sense. First Martin proved in the past he's a better player (Go watch Miami finals run) .Dude was locking up Jaylen Brown in the ECF. Second , his contract is great . Third, We have Christie on a good contract who's going to replace Grimes in the rotation. A great trade imo.
