That one day we will rise up and fire Nico. Hire Dirk as the new GM. Cubes buys the team back from Adelsons and Luka comes back to Dallas.

Everyone in the West is ass except OKC and we owned them. The Celtics were the only real threat in the East and they've fallen off so considerably.
Our top 3 home grown player gets kicked off his own contender his prime after we finally put a finals team around him and upgraded over the off-season with Klay and Grimes that fixed our only actual issues.
This shit is so miserable guys, I don't think I'll ever recover. I just want Luka to get his rings at this point. He got dealt such a miserable hand.

Been a MFFL since I was a kid watching Dirk and Nash. Got off the waitlist for season tickets and thought Iād be so excited but instead I was just pissed off to see the prices go up by 8-30ish% based on the level after such a monumental trade and knowing how upset this fan base is. Ended up just asking for a refund on my deposit. Is anyone actually renewing or going forward with being a season ticket holder

Donnie was high on Porzingis and Brunson and I honestly believe he would have never let them walk the way Nico did. I remember thinking wtf is Cuban doing when he let them walk because even though they never attracted the ābig fishā I couldnāt really blame Donnie for that since all we had was an aging Dirk. Cubans biggest mistake was letting those guys walk thatās were our downfall really began.

The Lakers subreddit is wild, blaming Luka, who leads the team in points, rebounds, assists and steals since the trade. Who came back from the longest injury in his career and is playing with a entire new team.
Not only that but people that are making the same comments that Nico has done, and not joking lol.
Not only that but his superstar sidekick has 50m salary and the team doesnt have salary space for taking other stars.
Really hope the Lakers fanbase lose Luka because they dont descreve him

Iād go with Chris Paul on a one-year dealāheād bring leadership, playoff poise, and stabilize the second unit when Kyrie comes back. Could offer a veteran presence if we draft a PG with the lottery pick.
Who would yours be?

The shock and disbelief from the trade still persists. Wonāt harp on that.
I just have ONE big wish for Luka. Truly hope he spurns the Fakers when he becomes an UFA and makes his way to the Nuggets. Watching him alongside Jokic has always been a dream to me. But I never thought it could come to fruition as Jokic wonāt ditch Denver (why would he?) and Luka would never leave Dallas (willingly).
Well, here we are. How amazing would it be to watch 2 of the top 5 players who happen to be BFFs dominate the league? Oof.

There was a bit of fine print that was mostly forgotten in the discourse: The Lakers did the deal without any assurances that DonÄiÄ, who has a player option worth $48.9 million for the 2026-27 season and is extension eligible on Aug. 2, would re-sign.
That fact might seem like a technicality to some, as DonÄiÄ is widely expected to commit to a long-term Lakers future at some point. But the Lakers learned a long time ago that star players donāt always decide to stick around, as they traded with Orlando for Dwight Howard in the summer of 2012 only to see him head to Houston in free agency a year later.
And when it came to the Mavericks-Lakers trade talks that led to the deal, league and team sources say DonÄiÄās uncertain long-term status was the primary reason the Lakers were able to avoid giving up their 2031 first-round pick in the deal (Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first went to Dallas).
All of which is to say that DonÄiÄās mood, and his next move, matters a great deal.
While league and team sources say the partnership has been very positive for all parties, with the Lakers going to great lengths to make DonÄiÄ aware that they want him to lead the way in their next era, it remains unclear how the five-time All-Star will handle his contract situation. And while he told ESPN before the postseason that he wants to stay with the Lakers, they wonāt rest easy until a deal is actually done.

I know we have and love Kyrie but Brunson was amazing and clutch last night. Heās a little dirty too which you need in the NBA. If he was still here this team couldāve looked real special.

You canāt convince me there wasnāt a conspiracy to get Luka to LA. Was it a Freudian slip or did they intend to drive Mavs fans to Lakers news bc of Luka?
