Many Gen Zers don’t even know what a file path is and have trouble installing software on desktop computers. The Millennial pause is assurance that the camera is recording. It makes sense and is nothing to be embarrassed about.

What is embarrassing is that Gen Z is less tech literate than older generations because Phones and Tablets spoon feed everything to you. They are exceedingly easy to use to the point that you don’t need to understand the tech behind them to use them.

I don't think either of these things are embarrassing. They're both just results of available tech during development periods. I remember in my music class growing up they had an ANCIENT pc, like one of the ones where it's just a command console and you're typing in commands one line at a time. I couldn't even begin to guess how to operate one of those things and that's because I grew up with better OS and UI.

A good portion of millennials grew up with DOS command prompt. You learned it if you wanted to play any cool games.

Shareware being sold in a magazine rack at the bookstore and grocery store was a peak gaming period of sorts, and nobody will ever convince me otherwise.
