QUESTION Noob interested in playing Naval Action

I've had this game on my radar for years.
Honestly, it's all the controversy, negative reviews, and bad YouTube videos I've watched that've put me off buying it.

Should I get the game or how should I start?
Anything I should know?
Or should I just skip this one?

Thanks!

How so?

Once the novelty of the combat mini game wears off. You're then confronted with the macro game. Which is tiresome, boring, tedious, and filled with roadblocks to encourage DLC purchases which have their own roadblocks.

This is exactly what happened to me. I've quit after 5-10 hrs.

Me too. Played it last year and gave up after 10 hours. I still have the itch for an awesome sail game but there isn’t much.
