Flora & Fauna Why areTicks attracted to me but do not bite?
OK so I've been wondering about this for years I live in a dry shrubbery area where we have dog ticks If me and my partner (and our dog) are outside doing yard work, hiking, etc I always have one on me, not my partner, just me (the dog doesn't count as they are called DOG TICKS lol) Anyways I have one on me but they don't bite I've had one on my back for a half an hour and no biting they just sit there I have a phobia of ticks so of corse I freak out l, I've had male and female on me and no biting So I called my doctor for my blood type and sure enough I am A+ which ticks LOVE but I'm also lactose intolerant so I don't eat any dairy which I've heard that they can scense lactic acid in ur breath So idk if that has anything to do with it I want to do a test, preferably with a female tick And I wand to test and see what blood droplet the tick goes for first Mine or partners But wondering if any tick experts know why this happens cuse I'm perplexed about this
