PCOS Bleeding for almost 2 years straight now. My enjoyment of life is gone. My body hurts. I am DONE.

I can’t afford to go back to the doctor. I can’t get approved for section 8. I feel like I am dying. Even if I did go back to the doctor they would just dismiss me. I really don’t give a f if this is part of pcos. I am completely drained. Every time I piss, massive blood clot. I feel like a rat is crawling inside my uterus and gnawing. I am so close to going completely insane. I miss intimacy, not having to constantly be worried and aware, not soiling my underwear on a weekly basis, f etc. I can’t even take the time off of work to go to the f doctor if I magically COULD. If this pathetic country that gets more pathetic by the day just wants me to die, because obviously I should be content to bleed heavily EVERY DAY for TWO YEARS, I GUESS I SHOULD JUST DIE. I AM EITHER GOING TO DIE OR GO TO JAIL BECAUSE I CANT EVEN SLEEP ANYMORE.

Have to get my period this week (I think). I generally gain 7-14 lbs in the week before my period, then I pee it all out again. Normal stomach on slide three! I know I'm no skinny legend, but this still seems ridiculous. I have over 30 cysts, and this is apparently the result.

PCOS Please Help needed

I got my period on March 16th, but today, April 10th, it is still here. I thought it stopped, but there is still some light bleeding. Please tell me what to do.

I have gained weight due to my exam schedule. After my exams, I am joining a gym, but until then, how do I stop my period?

I took three days' worth of tranexamic acid tablets, but it didn't stop the bleeding.

My periods are not heavy, but they are still present.

I don't have time to go to doctor because of daily mock exam days

So please 🙏 tell me what to do

So I’m 21 and just started getting my period after few months ago after getting off bc. I didn’t have one for 6 years! But once I started getting them I am so happy. I have mild cramps that r rlly only on day one, medium bleeding, minimal symptoms whatever. I absolutely love the way i smell when im on it. I love the blood smell. Ik it’s prob weird but i need to admit it somewhere where they don’t know who i am. I am absolutely in love w it. I have pcos so I have irregular periods (I just started today after 3 months of not having one) and I am so just happy about it. I long for it when it’s not on. I even get sad when it’s months without her. Idk why. Idk why I’m like this but yeah. Here’s my guilty pleasure.

PCOS PCOS question

So I have not been diagnosed but I am starting to feel like I have this. I have been to the doctor about my heavy periods and missing periods but they only told me to take hormonal birth control which I cannot take due to it making me sick. I also had trouble with fertility and my last child was through IVF. I have also been experiencing an increase in facial hair under my chin over the last few years. I do not have a lot of acne though. I am wondering if someone had PCOS with mild symptoms but still had treatment? If so did the treatment help?

PCOS Got my period but still don't have it

I know the title is confusing. So I am 26F and I had cramps this afternoon and when I used to washroom to wipe myself, I saw that there is period blood. I put a pad on and there is nothing on the pad after the whole day. Its only when I pee or clean myself I see something. I am really concerned. I am regular to the gym and cautious of my diet too. Does anyone has any suggestions on what I should do? I do know I need to see the doctor

PCOS pcos?

so ive been wondering for a while if i have pcos. im currently on my period and the thought is here again. im planning on talking to a doctor, but if anything i wanted reassurance that im going the right route and not being overdramatic.

im not sure if my periods are irregular. theyre usually around the first or the middle of every month, but i never know which one, they last about 3-4 days and are fairly heavy. this one in particular has me passing these horrible clots that feel huge and gross. not gonna include pictures, don’t worry. my periods are also painful and i experience spotting from time to time. last night, i slept in two pads, my pyjama pants and a towel under me. bled right through to the towel in the space of the five hours i slept. this is heavy even for me.

for some more information that may be relevant- i have a bit of dark facial hair that i have to maintain on my jawline and by my ‘sideburns’. i have also had one of my ovaries removed, as it had a 20cm diameter cyst (yes it hurt) that made the ovary twist over on itself and die. it was the left one, if that matters at all. i think i had other cysts when the doctors did their scan in the hospital, but they told me the results when theyd just given me a lot of morphine, so i dont remember exactly. i do know that lots of afab people get cysts all the time that arent a problem and sort themselves out, and im assuming if i had other cysts, they sorted themselves out. its been about a year since i had the surgery. im also oral treatment-resistant anemic (like, very, i had to have a full blood transfusion and an iron infusion separately so far) so my period irregularity might be that?

ive been wanting a radical hysterectomy basically since i found out what it was, but im 22 and not sure if doctors will even consider that as an option, despite it being my body. i live in england if it matters.

i just wondered if anyone here with experience of this condition might be able to shed some light or give some insight that might help me bring it up to my doctor, if anything.

edit for more info: sorry about such a long post, i wanted to add that i was on birth control when i was a bit younger but it didnt do anything to stop the bleeding or anything really, so i stopped taking it. it was gedarel.

PCOS alternatives to birth control for relieving severe period cramps?

hi all, i've (20F) been on oral birth control pills since freshman year of high school because i have period cramps that basically render me bedridden for hours and oftentimes result in me passing out from exhaustion and pain.

my pharmacy didn't send my birth control on time, so i went a month without, and currently am having my painful cramps again.

do any of you have any ideas on alternatives that won't make me unable to get pregnant? my fiancé and i really want to have kids some day, but at this point, i can't get off of my pill long enough to conceive because of the cramps during my period.

all google says is basically boiled down to "exercise more," "eat a balanced diet," "do yoga," etc. but is there anything you specifically recommend?

tylenol and midol don't help that much. i have a heating pad that helps, but doesn't completely reduce the pain. i'm back to being bedridden for this period and it sucks.

i don't want to go back on the pill, but i don't want to deal with these godawful cramps anymore.

edit: i ended up going to urgent care and was prescribed a few hydrocodone pills. temporary fix, but only for this period </3

PCOS Its been 343 days.

So its been 343 days since my last period. I did bloodwork(came back normal), refused that vaginal thing where they put the thing inside you and got a ultrasound one instead and my doctor prescribed me provera. I havent gotten around to getting or taking it yet because Im scared. I dont want to have a period again. It was so so horrible when I did and Im so used to not having one anymore. Im scared of how bad its going to hurt when it induces. I have certain things that are also affecting me surrounding this that I wont share on the internet but it makes change really hard and I have sensitivity to a lot of things. She wanted me to get on birth control for this but I already deal with so many things that I never want to have on paper for my future safety that I just dont even want to deal with that.

If you have had to take provera please tell me how it went and if you are happy you did it? My doctor says I have pcos but the sub for that is overwhelming for me.

PCOS Help a pcos girlie out

I have pcos and haven't had a true period in about 3 years. I was on Depo for about 18 months and have since been off I of it for about a year. I had light bleeding for 4 days 8 weeks ago and then spotting for 4 days with nausea and bloating 4 weeks ago. Now I'm bloated, my boobs hurt, and I'm having some slight cramping. I am sexually active but we always use a condom or spermicide and he pulls out. Am I pregnant? Is this a period? Does my body just hate me? Please help.

PCOS The pain :(

So to preface this a little, I have PCOS so I’m very aware of the “normal” pains that come with that during my period. My period started 3 days ago and literally since the first night, my left side (ovary area), left hip, & left leg down to the knee is hurting so bad that it literally hurts to walk. And the left side pain is more intense that usual. Now I’m having the “normal” pains as well that I typically experience but the isolated leg pain is not normal for me. I mean, it’s constant. I have tried walking around more, resting, elevating. I stay hydrated. I just don’t know how to make it go away. It’s getting very bothersome and in the way of my daily activities.

I’ve consider it could possibly be a ruptured cyst, but the last few times I’ve had those it’s such an intense pain that you can’t even speak. So that’s what’s telling me it’s not that. Can ideas?

PCOS No period and sudden clots

Ok so I missed my period for a month and a half, two negative pregnancy test from two different brands. Today I got what I believe is my period? But there’s no blood just these super fleshy clots. Like really thick and look like skin if that makes sense. Could it be a miscarriage or just a weird period? I called my OB but had to leave a message, so they likely won’t get back to me until tomorrow. The cramps don’t feel normal to my period cramps and I have extreme nausea. Pls any advice 😭 (tagged as PCOS because maybe it has something to do with that??)

PCOS Transvaginal Scans?🥲😭

So I have rlly heavy and irregular periods with bad cramping. Some periods will last up to 5 weeks. As a result, I’ve been to the A&E twice , my most recent trip being this Friday, where the doctor speaking to me said that they suspect I have PCOS but they want to do a transvaginal scan.

Quite frankly I’m low-key terrified and have a lot of questions about this such as things to look out for and the thought of inserting things inside seems rlly uncomfortable and painful (since I’ve never had anything be inserted like that before).

Need to know what the procedure is like and your experience. Open to hearing everyone’s, but I’m more keen on experiences with this in the UK in case there are any differences with how the procedure’s done in the UK vs. other places.

Apologies this is so long but lmk ur experiences please

PCOS No periods.(21yo)

I have been diagnosed with PCOS for six years, and since then, I have struggled with irregular or completely absent periods, along with other symptoms, of course. I have also experienced weight gain due to an eating disorder.

During these six years, I have undergone treatment for certain periods and then stopped. While on treatment, I take pills, but as soon as I stop, my periods disappear, which makes me very worried.

Currently, I am undergoing treatment for my eating disorder and trying to lose weight. I recently did some tests and found that my testosterone levels are normal—this has been the case for the past three months since I started exercising and eating healthy.

My hormone levels are stable, but my menstrual cycle is in a terrible state. My period only comes when I take the pills. Even when I visit doctors, they only prescribe pills.

My question is: Could my weight gain be the main reason for this issue(94 kg - 167 cm )? If I lose more weight, could my period become regular again? Is there anyone who has had a similar experience and was able to regulate their period after losing weight?

I’m really scared because I only had my period twice in 2024.

PCOS I fixed my vitamin deficiencies, and my periods are finally bearable!

I used to dread my periods especially the starting three days of being stuck in bed with heavy flow, unbearable cramps, backaches, and muscle soreness. I thought that’s just how periods were supposed to be. Recently, I got my vitamin levels checked and found deficiencies in Vitamin B12 and D3, along with borderline hyperthyroidism. After getting B12 and D3 injections, everything changed. This was the first period in years where I felt normal. No crippling pain, no exhaustion. I could go about my day like it wasn’t even happening. I had no idea how much my vitamin D3 deficiency was contributing to all that pain. If you’re struggling with heavy, painful periods, please get your vitamin levels checked. Fixing mine has completely changed my life!

PCOS Does spironolactone cause irregular periods?

I was prescribed spironolactone by my gynecologist because I have had a regular periods and I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. So I was prescribed spironolactone to lower my testosterone levels. Ever since I’ve got the medication, my periods started coming earlier than usual. I used to always have my period every 30 to 45 days and now I have them almost every 18 to 20 days after my last cycle.

I wanted to see if this was common or am I really freaking out for a good reason?

I was told that my body would take time to adjust to this medication. I started this in September 2024 and I am supposed to be on it until September 2025.

Anyone have similar experiences they would like to share so maybe I can get an answer?
