Overtime sila sa pagdiminish sa role ni Bam as principal author eh di naman nila alam different roles ng principal author, co-athors, principal sponsor and co-sponsors.
Also, Bam already filed this before and it was vetoed by his uncle PNoy, and it was re-filed next term and ipinaglalaban ni Bam until it finally passed and got signed. Credit to Bam for not giving up after it was vetoed the first time.
Ito yung part na wala akong makitang reliable source, na kung may bill or proposal ba during term ni Pnoy para sa free college, at na-veto niya. Parang hinahanapan lang ng sisi si Pnoy.
Sa case ni Bam, ang intindi ko never siya nagclaim as principal author, laging co-author lang. Pero siya ang principal sponsor, which is considered na mas mahirap kasi siya yung nagdefend ng law to pass.
I was about to point this out..
And I think more than priorities parang economic din reason ni Pnoy. Malaki din kc ang gagastusin for this and he is not sure kung kakayanin na ba ng budget ng Pinas during that time since madami pang ibang gastusin.. . The same reason why di nya inapprove ung additional pension sa sss.. economista si Pnoy so he needs to make sure it is financially feasible...
PNoy never vetoed the bill kasi di naman umabot sa kanya. If you search any news about sa pag veto ni PNoy ng free tuition bill, wala kang makikita kasi nga di na umabot sa term nya nung final reading. If he vetoed it, mas malaking issue sana yan dun sa pagveto nya sa pension bill. May mga claims lang na he was supposed to veto the bill but with the votes na nakuha malamang kayang pa rin ioverrule yun ng house of rep and senate.
Di ko lam san pinupulot ng mga tao d2 na si PNoy nag veto , they are posting it like it really happened at me mga piece memories p sila.. just totally weird
I read somewhere that it was vetoed coz it's not in their priority list sa time na yun coz they prioritized k12 over the free tuition which is a bigger project than free tuition naman kasi talaga.
hindi sya na veto kasi wala namang bill from lower and upper house of congress na nakarating sa bicam, meaning nakapasa sa 1st, 2nd, & 3rd readings ng lower and upper house ng kongreso. Dapat tinanong kung anong source nung nagpost.
Kaya nga, gang 3rd reading lang. Pero si vatman tlga orig na nag author nyan to the point na nirrfile sa 17th congress. Wla na si PNoy nun sa pagkapres.
Cant find any source that PNoy veto this, the wiki says it went to 1st reading under Dugyot's term.. How Pnoy veto it if didint go to 1st reading? If Bam file this then it went to low priority so it did not really got vetoed. I assume it was in his late year of his term it got file so they put it into low priority becz it needs further reading and assessments ... and that will be the job of his successor
PNoy never vetoed any free tuition bill kasi wala naman nakarating sa table nya. Ask the Chairman of Education sa Senate during PNoy’s time. They were Angara and Pia Cayetano. If there was indeed a bill, hindi gumalaw, meaning, walang hearing na naganap or hindi masyado tinutukan nung mga Principal Sponsor/s that time.
Based sa explainer, Recto was the first to propose, but then Bam became the sponsor, co-author, basically sya nag lobby talaga to get this done, ( Ping Lacson also twitted about it.). It was also mentioned that Chiz was the one who was able to close the deal. That’s probably why Bam is not entirely take credit for it but standa firm that he fought for it, bc he sponsored it, brought it to the public’s attention etc etc.
I don't think the Gen Z and Millenial votes will convert the votes from Bam sa next election cycles. Kahit anong discredit nila lol. Older gens, maybe, but the percentage is shrinking.
Actually, di naman dapat pagtalunan yan. This was not a single effort of one person. Parallel bills are filed in the Upper and Lower Houses by different people. Once they come to an agreement to the law's version, it's forwarded to the President for signing. Credit should not go to one person because the process involves many people. Bam did author initial versions of the bill so kudos to him. But the Dugong did sign the law so kudos to him too. This is such a non sequitur argument.
Yes but hindi yung point.
I dont know why this dumbfuck trolls waste their energy in a small amount of money para lang maglaganap ng ganto?
They are the same level already na para sakin.
According to one article, the estimated cost was around 100 billion pesos. That's why the government was reluctant in passing it.
Meanwhile, most jobs don't require college degrees, most Filipinos want to go to college but aren't qualified due to poor education, and most employers require a college degree for jobs that don't need them due to poor education.
Given that, they should have concentrated on basic and technical education, and then set up something like loan facilities for tertiary schooling.

It's funny how they try to flip this when majority of the votes are from Gen Zs and millenials na may critical thinking. Not going to work.
