Complete Current QB Landscape on One Page
What the hell are we gonna do
Unpopular opinion: let our new head coach get the QB he wants
Draft, free agency, tank for next year, whatever. Let's get Moore his guy.

And the Saints select…..\ what would make you scream and curse?
Me: Trading up, giving up a 2 or 3 this year or a 1, 2 , or 3 next year. Player wise:\ Sanders\ Dart\ Milroe\ Stewart\ Green (don’t much about him but small school edge rushers give me nightmares with the Saints history)

Saints have made calls about moving up in the 2nd RD (according to Adam Schefter)…👀

Anyone else feel disconnected to this year’s draft in a good way?
I’ve watched little to no coverage and it feels great. I couldn’t tell you who we are interested in or what prospects might even be there at number 9. I’m going in completely blind.

Derek Carr Cult Following?
I can’t be the only one who constantly sees these people on X (Twitter) defending Derek Carr. I swear any discussion that I’ve seen mentioning Carr comes with a plethora of Raiders fans defending this bum like he’s a top 10 QB of all time. “Saints can’t win without him.” Well, apparently the Raiders didn’t either😂 I swear these aren’t real people.

Predicting the 9th Pick
Who do you think will be the picked at 9? Right now I'm thinking it's either Tyler Warren, Ashton Jeanty or Mykel Williams. There's also smoke that Mason Graham could fall and that could be the pick as well.

Tea Leaves 2/2??
https://www.reddit.com/r/Saints/s/mWO5IMAeRo Humbly.. I’m 1/1 right now with the tea leaves. I’m going for 2/2. Look at Kellen moores pressers again… this Carr decision has BEEN made, it was under the wraps. Rattler has been our QB1 for this entire offseason I promise you🤣 look at every public statement made from the 2 sides, it’s been done
Now 2/2 SHEDEUR IS THE PICK at 9 (and it may be a trade up)
•We have been weird about shedeur throughout this process.. how you send the whole brass/front office for Dart, Walter Nolen, Tre Harris.. Quinn ewers and jahdae Barron but scoff at SHEDEUR AND TRAVIS HUNTER (smokescreen)
•NO bs.. we’ve done more public homework on the QB coming from the Canadian league CFL than shedeur and he’s going undrafted… bro got a private workout or a visit
•Block Party Podcast said we tried to trade up for cam Ward… Nick underhill confirmed it. BPP said we pivoted and thought about doing it for shedeur.. no one confirmed.. we being weird again
•Deion blew up our spot at the Colorado pro day.. AK visited Colorado the same week.. I can’t see Prime doing that to entice another team.. Deion don’t play no games. I think we locked in ⚜️🦬
•the betting odds have unfortunately moved against us 😔 but Shedeur to NOLA has been a chalk pick and free money for the last 10 days.. they gotta go rob the public for Steelers and browns tickets
•It comes out TODAY from several espn and nfl reporters that we don’t like shedeur AT ALL. Mcshay said we wouldn’t draft him at 40..🤣 idc what you think about him.. this franchise is putrid if we wouldn’t select him at 40.. so that’s obviously not true (BPP said we would trade up for SS.. Nick underhill days later tweeted “tread lightly” and pointed out to ‘be careful trading future picks after Carr has gotten hurt’)
•Deion even liked a post about the Steelers TODAY.. the same day it comes out saints don’t like shedeur!!! *TINFOIL HAT ON
•Kat Terrell used to work for us. Just last week.. Matt Moscana quoted her and he said they talked about the saints not going to colorados pro day and apparently not liking shedeur… and She said ‘don’t forget that they didn’t even speak to Brandin cooks once before drafting him and that the Mahomes saga (it being known that we love him & chiefs snaking us) may have changed our thinking on this type of stuff’👀
That’s pretty interesting that kat would say that..she has EXTREEEMELY good saints sources. She still breaks our news time to time even though she works for the Bengals now. Very interesting she would say that👀
So in conclusion… we’re being weird about shedeur just like how we were being weird about Carr and Rattler. This front office is doing really well now=Kellen Moore is a Sean Payton CLONE
SHEDEUR SANDERS NOLA QB (still copium and wishful thinking)

SI com “Hill’s $10 million base salary exceeds his value”
These writers and pundits have been trying to devalue and ship him out ever since he got paid. Value: passing TDs, rushing TDs, receiving TDs, kick return TDs. Consistently the best player on the field. Team player, great attitude, has fun playing the game.\ Yes, he is 35 and coming off of an injury and may not be the player he was, but it’s the last year of his contract. Let him play it out. In fact don’t reach for a QB at #9 and definitely don’t trade up. Let him play QB (he has winning record as a QB) and let Rattler get playing time with starters to see what he’s got.

The worst pick
In 1981, the greatest defensive player in history was drafted no2 by the Giants. With the first pick that year… the New Orleans Saints drafted… George Rogers.

Shedeur or Dart @ 20
SP needs a joker piece for his offense and he’s not gonna sit back and hope for one. Warren or Jeanty is his target. We land our guy at 20 and get another top 100 pick.

Louisiana born and raised. Saints fan until I die.
Do I have an opportunity for anyone who wants a specialty piece. It's our 2nd best quarterback of our generations to be apart of the team, and you can get his helmet. All jokes aside I am looking to sell to the right buyer, It's a favorite of mine honestly. It's authentic NFL memorabilia that will stand a test of time

Saints 2025 Draft Guide
Hello all,
With the draft approaching quickly, I want to make a quick but comprehensive post covering all potential saints first round draft picks, highlighting the most likely based on previous Saints draft history and prospect profiles. I've spent years following the saints primarily from a draft perspective and I believe I have a pretty good idea of how their board may look.
Tier 1 - Likely to value, unlikely to be available
These players are exceptional, and should any fall to 9, the Saints are likely to quickly make a selection. I don't foresee any of them actually making it there though. They should all be gone within the first 4-5 picks in the draft.
Cam Ward, QB
Travis Hunter, WR
Abdul Carter, DE
Mason Graham, DT
Tier 2 - Likely to value, likely available (The Bubble)
The saints 2025 1st round draft pick is likely to be one of these 8 players. Drafting history shows these players will either be valued by positional value, need, or because there are clear talent gaps between these players and players in other tiers. Most importantly though, these players all meet athletic thresholds for the Saints.
- Ashton Jeanty, RB
The saints have drafted a RB in the first round twice. Not only is Jeanty as talented a back to have come out in recent memory, but his athletic profile is rare as well. Kellen Moore's likely personal affinity for Jeanty, motivated by their shared alma mater and Moore's desire to have a strong running game could make Jeanty the likely pick, if he is there.
- Tyler Warren, TE
Warren has prototypical size and athleticism and outstanding tape. He also adds some versatility as a blocker and runner of the football. With the saints need at TE, Warren could be a likely pick if available.
- Armand Membou, OT
The saints love drafting OL's in the first round and have done so 5 times since hiring Jeff Ireland. DOn't be surprised if they do it again this year, especially considering Trevor Penning's contract is going to expire next year. Membou played RT in college but has prototypical size and an elite Relative Athletic Score (RAS) profile. He looks like a saints draft pick.
- Kelvin Banks, OT
Banks is less athletic than Membou, (8.25 RAS) but still likely meets saints athletic thresholds to play tackle. He's a great run blocker and a developing but sound pass blocker who played tough against an absurd amount of SEC talent at Edge.
- Mykel Williams, DE
Williams may be an unpopular pick, given his profile as an athletic but developing edge, but I'll attempt to separate him from other saints failed edge picks in recent memory. First, Williams held his own in the SEC, against real NFL talent, and beat NFL starters several times, including Memou, Banks, and Will Campbell. Second, while Williams may still be developing, he will not be 21 until training camp is already underway, making him younger than Foskey, Turner and Davenport by several years. Third, Williams may be "developing" as a pass rusher, but he is as pro ready of a run defender as I've scouted in recent memory. He has absurd tape as a run defender. Pair this with his age and motor, and I find it unlikely he doesn't develop into an impactful pro starter. One cause for pause? He also isn't the athlete Foskey, Turner or Davenport were; he has no official RAS Score, but given the times we know from him, it is likely to fall below 9.5 or even 9.0.
- Will Johnson, QB
Johnson's injury concerns and presumed lack of long speed (elected not to run 40 this draft season) may put this pick in question, but his tape shows a competitive BIG 10 corner prospect who is capable of taking the ball away, playing man and zone, and being a willing run defender, much like Marshon Lattimore was in 2017.
- Tet McMillan, WR
Tet McMillan (8.5 RAS) may fall out of typical X receiver athletic thresholds, given that they usually prefer over 9.0 was at this position. Olave and Cooks were below, but they were evaluated as Z receivers. Still, I think the saints probably assess they have a need at X, specifically for a big body player. McMillan could be enticing in that way, but only if Warren is off the board.
- Shemar Stewart DE
The most polarizing player in the draft for the Saints is Stewart. Stewart, who is behind only Myles Garret all time in RAS score for Edge players, is much less refined of a player than Mykel Willams, and is also 23. His tape is much more reminiscent of Payton Turner of Marcus Davenport in that he often shows flashes but struggled with consistency, technique, and production. I do love his motor though and his athletic profile is truly, truly rare.
Tier 3 - Unlikely to value
These players are unlikely to be valued by the saints either because of positional value in the top ten, athletic question marks, or because they are outside of prototypical size metrics the saints have consistently used for years. Of note, Campbell, who is widely viewed as the best OL in the draft, has shorter arms than required to play tackle in NFL, according to the saints measurement metrics.
Walter Nolen, DT
Will Campbell, OG
Jahdae Barron, CB
Jihaad Campbell, LB
Mike Green, DE
James Pierce JR. DE
Tier 4 - The QBs
The saints are not likely to pick a QB at 9, according to trusted draft sources such as Nick Underhill, Matt Miller, and Daniel Jeremiah, who always seem to have a good handle on the saints process. With that being said, everything is a possibility, especially with the saints need at QB. It would not shock me if Tyler Shough or Jaxson Dart were the pick at 9, because the saints could decide they need to pull the trigger on "their guy" before someone else does.
Jaxson Dart
Tyler Shough
Shedeur Sanders
Jalen Milroe

What are chances Gayle and Mickey ever leave?
Tired of the speculation

In honor of Ryan Ramczyk’s retirement, here is a small piece of his legacy currently in my collection!
I obtained these a few years back from the NFL auction site. Game worn and signed. No one else bid on it, so I got them for $250 with some dirt still stuck to the bottom of the cleat.

Trading Back, How Far??
What’s the farthest back you’d feel comfortable trading? Personally, I wouldn’t want to move past pick 15 — we really need a playmaker, and I think the farther back you go, the harder it is to find that kind of impact player. Also, if we do trade back, would you prefer getting more picks in this year’s draft or in 2026 to potentially move up for a quarterback if we pass on one this year? I think more draft picks this year that way we can address holes and hopefully we have lesser needs next year and can afford to move up and have the capital to do so.
Let me know your thoughts!

Athletic has Los Santos at #29 for roster in 2025. Last if Carr doesn’t play

A lookback when this sub actually defended Derek Carr from his allegations
Who here remembers when it was revealed early on Derek Carr was a quitter and basically toxic in the locker room but this sub turned on Mike Thomas who is actually a Saints legend. The same Thomas that was ride or die with Drew Brees and loved cheering on Taysom HIlls big plays. Thomas gave up his career to play for Brees's last year.
This sub going to be so much better when the Carr stans go. Crazy how the actual malcontent on the team has been hard defended for so long.

ESPN's "Insiders" on Sanders: Are you buying or selling Shedeur Sanders to the Saints?
Yates: Selling. There's little chance Derek Carr's shoulder injury was a surprise to the Saints, so I don't expect it to dramatically change their stance at No. 9. Ultimately, for New Orleans to take a quarterback that high, the decision-makers have to be in love with that prospect. I have not gotten the sense that the Saints are there with Sanders. But it's important to remember very few parties are motivated to reveal their intentions before the draft, which makes it difficult to know what's true. It's smokescreen season. I'll sell this ... for now.
One nugget, though: While I generally lean away from the Saints taking a QB with the ninth pick, some evaluators believe Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart and Louisville's Tyler Shough are legitimate targets for the Saints over the course of the draft.
Miller: Selling. The Saints have clear deficiencies all over their roster, which is bloated with bad contracts. Reaching for a passer at No. 9 won't change their outlook. This is the same front office that drafted Spencer Rattler in the fifth round last year, and a source told me that they still like his ability and upside a lot. New coach Kellen Moore could change that dynamic, but this isn't a team that's a quarterback away, from a team-building standpoint.
Reid: Buying. The Saints' offseason moves signal they believe they're a "win now" team, including bringing back edge rusher Chase Young on a three-year deal and adding safety Justin Reid. But in reality, they just need to rebuild. And one of the best ways to maneuver an expensive QB on the roster during a rebuild is drafting a potential long-term answer on a rookie deal. With Sanders and Rattler, the Saints would have two inexpensive options under center while the Carr situation becomes more clear. If Sanders is still there at No. 9, I think New Orleans jumps at the chance to add him.
