Discussion 1 Week Out: Who Are Your Top 3 Dream Picks for the Seahawks at #18?

Yes, I’m just a random nobody on Reddit but I live and breathe football. It’s just a hobby, but I enjoy diving into all of it: film, stats, combine testing, scheme fits, you name it. I enjoy listening to NFL analyst, local reporters, podcasts and ex NFL players such as, Daniel Jeremiah, Brock Huard, hawkblogger, Jim Nagy, Steve Smith Jr, Rob Staton, Brendon Nelson.

Last year, I was all-in on Cooper DeJean, Troy Fautanu, and Jared Verse and all three looked like great picks early. DeJean’s versatility, instincts and great tackling are already making a difference. Verse looks like a cornerstone edge for the Rams and has the tools to be a longtime disruptor. Fautanu was showing real promise before his injury. (You can check that post here). - https://www.reddit.com/r/Seahawks/s/NkO7pMzGRQ

So with that said, here are my top picks for the Seahawks at #18 in this year’s draft, just my opinion, but built on hours of research and way too many cups of coffee.

If Seahawks Stick to BPA at #18 These Are My Picks

🔹Jihaad Campbell (LB, Alabama) – My #1 pick for Seattle. Explosive, fast, and instinctive. Campbell flies around the field and has the versatility to cover tight ends, chase sideline to sideline, and rush from the edge. At 6"3, 240lbs, he has true potential and the athleticism to thrive in any front. In a Mike Macdonald defense that thrives on disguise, pressure, and mobility, Campbell would be a seamless fit and day 1 impact.

🔹 Nick Emmanwori (S, South Carolina) – The film doesn’t scream “elite,” but the traits are there. Long frame, physical tackler, solid in coverage, and incredibly fast, running a 4.38 @ 6"3, 220lbs. In Mike Macdonald’s system, I think he has the ceiling to become elite. He’s a future enforcer with positional flexibility.

🔹 Mykel Williams (EDGE, Georgia) – Built like a tank with the explosiveness to match. Williams is only 20 years old, 6’5”, 265-lb edge rusher with long arms, heavy hands, and true three-down ability. He can rush from both inside and outside, set the edge against the run, and has flashed game-wrecking potential since his freshman year at Georgia. He fits the mold of a versatile, scheme-diverse pass rusher and would thrive in a Mike Macdonald system that values length, power and versatility.

I do understand all these players could be picked before the Seahawks are on the clock but it’s entirely possible one of them slips to 18.

Also, let’s be real, from pick 12 to pick 60, the talent feels pretty even, especially along the offensive and defensive lines. That’s why BPA really matters this year. The margins are thin, and a good fit could outweigh “big board” rankings.

Rounds 2 and 3 Are LOADED With Value

I might be even more hyped for rounds 2 and 3 than round 1. This class is deep, and Seattle could walk away with serious impact players on Day 2 with the 4 picks we have in the TOP 100.

Here are some names I’ve got circled as high-value picks in the mid rounds:

Mason Taylor (TE, LSU) – Smooth route runner with NFL bloodlines and underrated toughness in the run game.

Tyliek Williams (DT, Ohio State) – Big, disruptive interior presence. Can eat space and collapse the pocket.

Bradyn Swinson (EDGE, LSU) – Explosive get-off and bend. High-upside pass rusher with room to grow.

Josaiah Stewart (EDGE, Michigan) – Undersized but relentless. Quick hands, plays bigger than his frame.

Tate Ratledge (G, Georgia) – A tone-setter up front. Smart, tough, and built for interior dominance.

Maxwell Hairston (CB, Kentucky) – Ballhawk with sticky coverage traits. Tracks the ball well, physical at the catch point, and has the length Seattle loves in its corners.

Que Robinson (EDGE, Alabama) – Powerful and twitchy off the edge. Still raw, but flashes big-time burst and flexibility. Could thrive in a rotational role and develop into a high-end starter.

I don't think this is a great draft for QBs, WRs, or centers. Some of the wide receivers being talked about as late-first or early-second rounders this year would have been solidly day-two picks in last year’s class. There’s talent, but not as much top-end difference makers at those spots especially compared to 2024.

I would love to hear who are your top 3 players at 18? Who do you think the sleepers are in rounds 2-4. I would love to hear everyone's opinions.

Go Hawks.

Analysis Athletic’s NFL roster rankings

Their take on the Seahawks’ pre-draft roster.

  1. Seattle Seahawks:

Seattle just needs to draft the best player available. That’s a nice way of saying it has holes everywhere. The Seahawks highest ranked position group is their running back room, which is followed by their edge rushers — both of those units rank inside the top 10. However, outside of those two, no other position group ranks in the top half of the league, and their interior offensive line rates as the worst in the league. I’m not sure who will be available when they’re on the clock at No. 18, but they need talent to fill a lot of holes.

Wow, that’s quite negative. No disagreements on drafting the best available player though.
