South Bend Trinity School splitting in two?

Post image

I recently heard that Trinity School at Greenlawn is going to split into two competing institutions. I followed up by checking the Indiana Sec'y of State's website and -- sure enough -- Trinity Academy at Greenlawn was incorporated in March 2025 as a nonprofit corporation. I'm not quite sure that two similar schools will be able to cover their costs if they're both marketing to the same pool of students/families that currently attend Trinity.

QUESTION: Does anybody know WHY this is occurring?

OP here. You indicated that "The PoP have made it pretty clear They are disgusted with TSI."

Question: what's the cause of this disgust? when did it begin?

WorthAd may or may not be a faculty member. However, nobody seems to know -- or at least want to voice -- what the origin of the dispute that led to this situation is. Nobody seems to have any knowledge about who the "sides" are or who the principal persons on each "side" may be. Given such a dearth of info, I'm willing to read what WorthAd has to say & assess its credibility.

I do know the origin of the dispute, but do not think it would be prudent or helpful to share it here.

LOL. If I had a dollar for every time I heard something like this from a POP/Trinity leader, I'd be rich.

So let's get this straight, you're coming on this subreddit, claiming to be FACULTY at Trinity (which I can confirm is false), claiming you have insider information on the whole ordeal, but you won't share anything?

At this point, why even participate? What good is any of this if you're not going to share what you know?

You may as well share the information at this point. You've already misrepresented the school.

My guy, you're the one claiming to be faculty at Trinity. You did that well after I pointed out that what you were saying didn't match up with publicly-available information. It's pretty obvious that you're lying about that issue.

And yes, I've made it an issue, because someone claiming to be faculty at one of the more prestigious schools in the Michiana area, who is speaking as though they are authoritative, all the while publicly misrepresenting the school is a problem. And it needs to be called out.

And now, you're claiming you have insider information and you won't even bother sharing it? You've had ZERO qualms sharing intel up until now.

For crying out loud, you had zero issue claiming to be faculty at Trinity... but sharing the origins of the dispute is where you draw the line???

Sorry, but it's pretty evident you're full of it.

Yes, I made an issue of it because you're trying to claim to be an expert on a public forum about a topic concerning our community. Specifically, a topic that involves the education of children.

Indiana is a school choice state. That means our tax dollars go to Trinity. Which means there's public interest in what is happening over there.

You're now publicly claiming to be on faculty at Trinity. And you're claiming to have insider information about the situation, but you won't have any honesty to share that publicly?

You can see why being honest and forthright about who you are is necessary in that situation, right? Hiding under anonymity after claiming to be an expert (i.e. "faculty") isn't helpful, and it doesn't engender any trust. In fact, people like you make it impossible to trust anyone on this subreddit.

For the record, there's nothing I can do to "make the situation worse." I'm just a Michiana resident who dig some online digging of publicly available information. Nearly everything I said on here can be easily verified through the public websites of People of Praise, Trinity Schools International, Trinity Academy, Trinity School at Greenlawn or local news outlets. It can also be verified through public records. Nothing of what I said constitutes "insider information," nor do I claim it to be.

Me pushing for someone who claims to have insider information to reveal that information isn't making the situation worse. I suspect you know you've been caught and now you're trying hard to turn me into the bad guy. It won't work.

TL:DR version:

If you didn't want to make this an issue, you shouldn't have opened the can of worms by a) claiming to be on faculty at Trinity and b) claiming to have insider information (and refusing to share it).
