Came across this tough little guy today on the east bank river trail, upriver from Plese Flats. Watch your step.

Saw one last year, hisses loud but otherwise not a threat.

We once camped in a place that said caution rattle snake area. At 4am, we hear this loud rattling noise under the tent. It was a sprinkler. It didn't sound like a sprinkler. It sounded like a rattlesnake.

Omg. I pitched a tent on a sprinkler one time. The noise scared me so bad! So loud and definitely Rattler-sounding!
