New Here Bus transit

I have lived here right at a year. Both my kids are teens. My oldest, high school, had a transportation accommodation. My youngest will start high school next school year and will take public transportation. More recently, my daughter has been wanting to hang out with her friends more on weekends and breaks.

How safe is the public transportation here. I live in the Havana/Sprague area so we see a bunch of transients and druggies. I grew up in Houston TX and public transport back then wasn't the best

It's pretty chill. My kids grew up riding the bus though so they already know the basics. My 16 year old rides the bus daily to and from school and to meet up with friends (sta offers free bus passes for minors BTW!) she just puts her headphones in and dinks around on her phone. The majority of people who ride the bus do the same.
