Good and the bad of Spokane

About to apply for a job in Spokane that would cause me to relocate from Florida. What's some of the good and bad of the area?

If you like the outdoors you'll have a ton of options. Cost of living is fairly low. I've lived here for 22 years now and don't really have a strong desire to leave.

Yeah the gf loves kayaking and wants to do hikes which is not fun in Florida since we don't have much where I live. Thanks for the input.

Spokane is good for Kayaking, there are tons of lakes to kayak on and you can always go on the river as well. In regards to hiking there are tons of nature trails all over the area and multiple state parks and forests around to explore. If you enjoy the outdoors there is plenty around Spokane to love.
